Michael POV

Messaging Calum back and fourth has its perks and also has me focused on your phone a lot. I'm in my room listening to Nickelback and re-reading our past conversations from when we first started talking. We've been talking for about three months now and have become closer. I'm on my phone like usual when I hear the buzzer to my apartment saying someone is in the lobby. I groan and get up thinking my mom locked herself out again as I press the button by the kitchen door. " Michael?"

"Luke hey."

"You going to let me in or?"

"Sure sorry." I buzz him up and open the door and lean against it as I stand in the hall. Our apartment complex is really nice and is in the heart of the city which I love. Luke arrives at my door a few minutes later. " Hey, you doing anything?" I shake my head and go into the apartment with Luke following behind. I hear the door shut as I sit down on the couch. " I haven't seen you in ages. " He says. I nod as we go up to my room. I look in my closet for a jacket since it seems we're going somewhere. " Do you even do anything after school?" Luke asks. " Not really well gaming and playing guitar like usual why?" I ask. "No reason just wondering." He shrugs and picks up my phone. I panic wondering if Calum wrote me back since Luke knows nothing about my internet friend. "Who's Calum Hood?" He asks looking at my screen and then me. I feel my face get red as I try to find the words to explain. " We started talking on Twitter," I say. Luke lets out a groan. " Don't tell me your being catfished by this guy.. it's a guy right?" " Yeah he's a guy we like the same bands and were the same age and he's cool." " Where does he live? Europe?" "Denver, Colorado," I say and slide on a jacket and mess with my hair before I put on a snap back. " What did he say?" I ask. " He said... "I watched one of Luke's covers holy shit he's good." He looks up at me confused and then smiles. " He really likes them?" He asks surprised. " Guess so." Luke unlocks my phone and begins typing. I sit next to him hoping he won't say something bad. "Do you love him?" Luke asks raising his eyebrows. " I don't know yet okay he doesn't know I'm gay either so don't say anything," I say. Luke nods as I read over what he wrote and see Calum's typing back.

Calum oh hi Luke, yeah I like them you have a good voice. I read and Luke smiles over at me. "Alright let's go," I say and get my phone from Luke as we go downstairs. " Movies?" I ask. Luke thinks it over. " Sure." I get my keys as we walk down the busy sidewalk and to the subway. "You want to come over my house this weekend?" "That would be fun." I reply as I look out the window as Luke talks about school and how a girl in his class has a crush on him and he's not sure how to handle it. " Do you like her?" I ask. " I honestly had no idea she existed until she sat next to me." "Well say were just friends it's easy." " But girls are not easy, they are so complicated Mikey." He complains. I pull out my phone and plug in my earbuds and hand Luke the other as I go to my Green Day playlist. " Do you know when they are going to tour again?" He asks as we listen to 21 Guns. " No idea I'd have to see." I say. Luke leans back into the seat and looks around the subway. " How has school been?" He asks. " The usual, my teachers hate me so."

"They don't hate you." Luke says.

"My mom says I need to stop ditching but who wouldn't if you lived in New York?" I say. Luke shakes his head and takes my phone off my lap and changes to the song to Vegas by ATL and sings along quietly. But me being the friend I sing along too but loudly and some people look over at me causing Luke's cheeks to get red as he punches my side. " Shut up people are starting." He whispers. I laugh and stop singing. " I had to it was too quiet in here." I say. We get off at our stop as I take my ear bud from Luke and pause the song before putting them around my neck as we exit. " This does not look familiar." Luke says as we step out into the station and he's right. I've been on the Subway much time but never arrived at this station. " How far from home did we go?" Luke asks starting to panic. " Relax I'm sure we can find our way home." I say and walk upstairs and into the street and see I am far from where I thought we were. Luke follows behind staying close to me so the crowd won't break us apart. " Let's find a map." I say and go over to a bus stop and read the map and know I messed up. " We're like... by the airport." Luke's eyes widen. " We are that far... how?" He panics " I can get us out of it." I say and can feel myself sweat. " Let's find a Starbucks and find our way back." I suggest and begin walking down the crowded sidewalk until I reach the coffee shop.
