Chapter 13 Secrets

I think Calum likes me, and I like him.  I wake up on the sofa  and forget where I am until I see Calum's sleeping figure and relax when I  see my phone light up with a text from my mom.
How's your trip going?
Really good! He's exactly like I thought he would be
So your weren't being cat fished?
Nope he's also adorable and I think he likes me too
So your going to ask him? That's risky what if he doesn't  feel the same way
I think he likes me too he told me he's not straight so..
I hear Calum waking from across the room and my heart flutters.
I should go but I'll call you later ok?

"Morning."  He looks over at me and smiles sleepily before getting up and sitting on me making me laugh. " Get  up your heavy!" I whine and roll over landing both of us on the floor. 
"You want to do something today?" "What were you thinking?" "Milkshakes?" Sure." I  go through my bags and find some jeans and a shirt and go into the bathroom and change.  "Where are we going?" Michael asks. My favorite ice cream place I wonder if Mali is home.." Calum says before going upstairs. We leave a while later and Calum's sister asks me questions about New York and how we met which I answer happily. Calum and I talk about how much we don't like school as  were having our milkshakes I'm plucking up the courage to tell him I like him. I take a big gulp of my shake and then start talking.

" I- I have something to tell you." I stutter. Calum nods and stirs his milkshake and takes a sip.  "I think I have a crush on you and maybe I like love you?   If you don't like me that's cool I just had to tell you.  I just don't want to loose you Cal so I.." My cheeks are so red and I'm nervously playing with my fingers. He looks over at me curiously, The sun suddenly felt too hot and his brown eyes looked so beautiful in the sunlight. " You love me?" He asks and looks up at the sky then at me as he tips his sunglasses down. "Yes, I think you're adorable." I  realize what I said and hate myself for it. "You ready to go?" He asks. I nod picking up my milkshake  just as Mali pulls up to pick us up. We don't talk and I'm getting anxious. He turns up the radio and Mali looks at Calum wondering why we're not talking.  I feel like I made a mistake and will be going back to New York early.  I look over at Calum  he  looks deep in thought and I find myself falling harder.

"So... if you want me to leave I can." I say softly and mess with my hair nervously. I'm so scared right now.  I look around Calum's room and wonder if I messed up. "You  love me?" He says. "Yes okay please I'm dying here do you like me back? "This is awkward." I fuss. Calum looks down at his shoes and then me. " I like you too." He says so quietly I can't hear him. "You what?"  I like you too I think your cute." He says in a rush and I smile really big. " You do?" He nods. "I know me and Ash will never be but us... we could be." He says. I can't hide my smile and I want to kiss him right now.  He must read my mind because he  moves closer to me his cheeks red. " Just kiss me." I say. He blushes harder but obeys and leans in and puts his lips on me so gently I hardly feel it.   I do the same and part my lips slowly  moving my head slightly. I kiss back a little harder before pulling away.  "You want to watch a movie?" Calum asks I nod and we go look through his bin of movies. We watch a movie on Calum's couch and are cuddles up against each other and my heart is racing at how great this is.
