I woke up with my phone in my hand.I did not know what time I fell asleep but I had a banging headache.I looked my phone it was 8:00 school started in 10 minutes.I screamed in frustration.I got to my dresser and quickly brushed my hair out and bunged it up into a ponytail.
I went to bathroom got washed and brushed my teeth.I flung some books into my bag hoping they were the books that I needed for today.I made it out the door at 8:10 which is when first lesson starts.
I ran through the park,bewildered dog owners walking their dogs looked at me like I was crazy.However I managed to make it to school without tripping I over and falling in a huge puddle or something like that.
The lady at reception looked at me with one eyebrow raised."You're late" she said as she scrolled through to my name on the computer."I know I woke up late this morning" I replied breathless."And your name is...." she said as she looked up from her computer."Mia Summers" I looked at her sternly this time. She always reminded me of the slug lady out of monsters inc.
"Ok go through" she said and sighed I walked straight through down the hall.i made my way to my first lesson which was English.I looked through the door and everyone was sitting at their tables doing their work.
My best friend Lexie was sitting by herself in the corner where we usually sit.I burst through the door and all I can say is the teacher is not happy.She just motions for me to sit down where I usually sit.
The lesson won't actually quite quickly after that and I just looked at the rain coming down the windows and daydreamed about everything.
Eventually the lesson was over the teacher waited for everyone to go and then asked me to stay behind.Lexie was behind the door in the hallway
and gave me a cheerful smile.
"Mia next time try not to be late you missed a lot of work,but luckily for you you are ahead of the class so you have nothing to worry about. "Thank you so much Mrs Hammond" and with that I rushed out the door.Lexie looked at me and laughed.Before we talked about the previous events of last night though I will tell you a bit about Lexie.
Lexie Smith was one of the most amazing people there were not many of her around.She had milkshake purple hair and green eyes and liked science and reading she enjoyed school as well.She had never really had a boyfriend but was happy with her life.
Lexie looked at me almost laughing "So what happened with Joe over the weekend" she asked almost falling over with laughter."it wasn't good first I blurted out something really stupid and then even worse he probably thinks I like him" I explained looking at the group of cheerleaders across the hall.
"Don't worry maybe you two like each other anyway" said Lexie.After that the rest of the day went quickly and I went home.
