I looked at the piece of paper lying on my desk with the detectives number on it.I got up and looked out the window,The sun was rising from the city skyline.My phone flashed illuminating the whole room.A snapchat message from Josh,that's strange I thought to myself.
I didn't really have time to open so I got on with getting ready for school like usual.I put on some skinny jeans and a t shirt.
And I made my way downstairs to living room. Where Joe and Mum were having a conversation about the detective and the whole case. I ignored and grab my backpack off the kitchen table. I made my way outside. And heard Joe calling after me.
"Hey you seem nervous "Joe said fast as he ran down the pavement. "It's just this whole case and the thought of someone breaking our a house"I said as I worried more about the situation. "Well don't be scared you got all of us in the house "Joe said comfort to me.
"Are you feeling okay today, you ar
e being really nice "I said laughing at him."well sometimes I like to be nice"he said.
Soon the bus turned up and we got on for the rest of the journey Joe
Didn't say anything and looked out the window I think this was the quietest he had ever been in his life.
"What's wrong" I asked unsure of his answer.
"Well last night me and Tara broke up" he said looking down at the floor."I found she was cheating on me with the cute guy at Starbucks"he said trembling in anger."well the guys are cute at Starbucks" I said looking at him laughing.
"You know what you cheered me up today,but you're still annoying" he said laughing throwing his head back.
"You idiot"I said as I was laughing punching his arm.
Before we knew it we were at school and went out separate ways,which was a shame because we had a conversation going on there.
He will soon find a new girlfriend when the word gets out that he's single and I'm sure Penny Adams the most popular girl at school is first in line.
Ever since primary school Penny has tried to go out with Joe this could be her last chance to grab him before it's too late.I looked at him hanging out
with his football friends and laughing hanging out with the cheerleaders.
Someone taps my shoulder and I whip around thinking it is Lexie I hug them.But it's Josh
"Oh sorry" I say embarrassed."no it's ok I don't get hugged often" he said looking at me awkwardly.
"I just thought it was Lexie,that's all"
I said staring at Lexie who was making funny faces in the background.
"I just thought that maybe you would want to go to the cinema tomorrow night"he said looking at me.
"Um...ok" I said unsure.
After that we talked for a while and gave me his number so he could text me about tomorrow.
I walk over to Lexie finally she stands their with her arms folded."So you and Josh then,I really did not see that coming" she said raising her eyebrows.
"No we are just friends and we are just going to the cinema tomorrow it's not a big deal"I explained."that is a big deal he probably thinks you are dating"she said.
"Anyway it's great if you two get together.After what happened with your boyfriend in year 10 which was really bad"
"I know I still can't get over that" I looked at her hopelessly what had happened in year 10 was actually Terrible and I do not want to relive that moment ever again in my life.
*Flashback from year 10*
My short brown hair flew in the wind as I walked down the sidewalk on my way to the cinema.I looked up at the lit up and glowing cinema lights I shivered in the December crisp air.
I grinned at the sight of Finn on the other side of the road.My smile dropped as another girl appeared from around the corner she had blonde hair and was really tall.She came over to Finn and kissed him on the lips I looked away and started to cry the tears staining my face.My eyes stung as I cried and cried more.Finn rushes over and shouts at me."where are you going"he shouts as I hurry down the pavement trying to get away.
After what had happened he spread all over the school that I cheated him with his brother in college called James.Buy later that year he moved away to California to live there.
I looked at Lexie and hugged her I needed it I had a tough time with relationships but was I going to get lucky anytime soon with Prom coming up soon.
