Chapter 11: Shopping with Lexie

I get ready and put on my high waisted jeans and a green hoodie ready to go out with Lexie.I grab my handbag and put money in there as well as other things I need.As I walk downstairs I see mum and dad sitting at the kitchen table,eating their breakfast."Hey Mia" mum says as she puts another spoonful of cereal into her mouth."hi I'm going out today to town with Lexie so I will see you guys later" I say as I wave goodbye to them."Mia.." his voice slowly trails off."yes" I say nervously."if you had any problems with the whole Party issue,we are here for you" he said.Even though after the party Joe and I were both told off,they agreed that at least everyone was safe at the end and Josh didn't die.
After I talk to mum and dad I head out the door feeling a lot better than usual with a spring in my step.I rush to Lexie's house and climb the steps quickly to her front door.I knock loudly.And wait with my arms crossed on the doorstep."Hey girlfriend" she says as she applies some lip gloss to her lips."Hey,ready to go shopping" as I jump up with excitement."I am always ready to blow some cash" she says as we link arms.We walk to the nearest bus stop and wait for the bus.

We when finally got in the bus.The gossip started to flood out."Mia,I have something to tell you" she said biting her nails nervously." Yea of course you can tell me anything"
" well the other day Ollie asked me out" she whispered so no one else could hear us."well what did you say" I ask her."I said no" she said looking crestfallen."I think you should still go out with him" I look up at her."I'm not ready for a relationship right now" she explains to me."don't worry if he is the right guy he will stick around until you are ready"
" Thanks Mia,I really wanted to get that out of my system it was driving me crazy."she said breathlessly.

Finally the bus pulls into the middle of town,me and Lexie get off the bus and start to walk into the centre of town where the main shopping centre is.We go into a clothes shop and start to look through the clothes."Hey Mia,you should wear this "Lexie giggled as she held up a top hat."I would look like the mad hatter"I say laughing now.Finally I decide to buy a baby pink crop jumper and a white tank top.Lexie buys the same crop jumper as me but in blue so we can kind of match.As we walk out the door of the shop,giggling still.We spot Penny and her group of friends talking to Harper,which was a bit unusual.We start to cross the road and get closer to them they are laughing and pointing at Harper as she cries into her hands."HEY" I shout as i start to walk furiously towards them.Some of her friends sneer and me and laugh.I walk up to Penny and look at her."what are you doing?"i ask her staring."You know just embarrassing Harper" she said looking at me with a smirk."Go away" I stand there not budging."Ok suit yourself Mia,we will be back for you Harper" Penny says as she walks away laughing evilly with her friends into another shop.

"Are you alright?" I ask Harper as she wipes her tears from her face."yea I feel a little better now"she says."Probably shouldn't ask what they done,would you like to come shopping with us instead"I asked her.She smiled and looked at me and Lexie,guess not everyone is so bad here after all,she giggles.We spend the rest of the day shopping with Harper and she is really nice.As me and Lexie walk back to my house after dropping off Harper,we agree that we will be friends with Harper,and ask her out more on the weekends.When we turn up to my house we walk in the door,everyone is out obviously.Me and Lexie go up to my room."I have an idea" she looks up at me smiles."What is that then" i ask worried now by the look on her face."We go through Joe's room" she says laughing hysterically."No,we will get caught and then i will be literally dead" i whispered."Come on" she said batting her eyelashes.

Before I know it we are in Joe's room...
