"We stand before you today with a heavy heart at all those lost during Vera's reign. United, we ask you all to forgive her for all she has done, as it is not healthy to hold anything but hope for others. We have discussed, in great detail, what is to be done over her fate, and decided she will be forced to work her debts until it is seen fit that she will be a member of society-if this does happen." Dawson extended his hand towards Holly. "In happier news, we are so thankful for those who have stood with us, and do not blame those who fought against us. We desire to make Seralake the place you recall when younger; a place of hope and love for all." The royal hall erupted with applause as everyone began to chant "Long live King Dawson and Long Live Queen Holly."

By the end of that night, after the coronation had finished, Dawson made his way into the bedroom to find a note upon the bed. Pulling it into view, he saw it was from Holly, telling him to meet her in the garden. For a moment, he stalled before looking out the window to see her pacing back and forth, playing with the petals that were graced on a crimson rose. Upon seeing him, she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him passionately.

"Someone has become incredibly joyful!"

"Why should I be anything else?"

He looked at her with skepticism. "Perhaps everything that has happened..."

"Is in the past. And now, we can relax in knowing that everything is going to get better."

"How can you be so sure? I mean...there is still starvation and sickness and-"

"A child."

His expression changed from humored to shocked.

"What?"

"I didn't want to tell you unless I was sure, but I found out this morning before the coronation." Placing her hand on his stomach, tears filled both of their eyes.

"How is it possible?"

"I went to the alchemist while trying to get better after the starvation and found vitamins and this oil. I put it on every night. And when we were last together, it worked."

"That was months ago..."

"Yes, apparently a miracle." Before she could explain further, she found herself swept in his arms and spun around until she was almost dizzy.

"I did not think it would ever be possible!"

"Either did I." Tears slid down their faces as they spoke.

"I do believe things will start to look up for us." he wrapped his arm around her and with a big embrace, swept her up once more, swinging her around again and then resting his lips onto hers. Setting her back against the castle wall, he took a deep breath. Resting his forehead upon hers, he spoke in a soft and gentle tone.

"I love you, Holly. More than anyone or anything that has either come between us or ever tried to. We can fight any battle as long as we are in it together, and we can rule this kingdom with grace, honor, and love."

She set her hands on his cheeks and pulled him in for a sweet kiss.

"I do not doubt it."

As the stars shined bright above them and the kingdom had been celebrating their reign, they realized how everything was becoming perfectly aligned. And despite the battles they had experienced with one another, they could endure anything that was to come.

If only they would have known exactly what that would be....
