It's Valentine's Day.
I walk up to Jade and hand her a note.
She reads it out loud:
A simple piece of paper isn't enough
To express how much you mean to me.
I love how you have your own style,
You aren't afraid if anyone will see.
You love to talk on and on
About the simplest things only you would find.
Your smiles light up a whole room,
You say you're clingy, but I think you're kind.
I don't understand how you can't comprehend
How wonderful and beautiful you are.
I don't want this to sound too cheesy
But you have always been my star.
Dancing in the rain
With raindrops falling gracefully onto your skin
We laugh the night away
Until everything seems to vanish when the air is thin.
Still, I see you alone with teardrops trickling down your face,
And I hate to see angels cry.
I want to help you spread your wings,
Because angels are meant to fly.
Jade throws her arms around me
And holds me tight and close.
"You're the greatest friend I've ever had."
Friend.
That's all we are,
Friends.
