There are probably errors in here, but I'll clean it up when I'm not vomiting and fighting my temporary illness.

Jake's POV

*prior to Enoch kicking his ass out of the room*

I arrived early to the house and spotted Ms. Peregrine carrying a box that had the word "альбом" written on it.

She was creeping around the coffee table carefully until I spoke up.

"Hi Ms. Peregrine."

She yelled and dropped the box. Her blue eyes were large as she spotted me. "Why are you here so early?"

"Uh, I had to get away from my parents. They were really...eh... bothering me."

"Really now?" She eyed me skeptically and I nodded.

My eyes flickered away from her scrutinizing gaze and to the navy album with "Enoch" written on it in cursive.

"Is that a photo album?" I arched a brow.

She reddened at the redirection of the conversation. "Uh- yes." The pale woman crouched down and placed all of the albums in the box, minus the one I had just picked up. "Most of them had horrible pasts or can't remember the pasts... So it's my job to remember to prevent horrible repetition."

"Oh."

She glanced at the book in my hand and sighed. "Enoch had quite a rough one... It's a miracle that he's softened up to you like he has."

"Really?"

She pursed her lips and glanced out into the distance. "Follow me." She mumbled before picking up her box.

I followed close behind clutching Enoch's photo album and Valentine's day gift to my chest.

Once we entered the basement she placed the box on a stack of other boxes before spinning around to face me.

"Alright. Story time... Hm?"

"I guess so."

She pursed her lips before pulling out her pipe to smoke.

"What I tell you shouldn't fall from your lips ever again

"What I tell you shouldn't fall from your lips ever again. Got it?"

"Yes'm." I reddened knowing that she already knew the consequences of informing me.

"Enoch... Was a lonely child." She started as she settled on the edge of an old dusty chair. "Never talked much, quite antisocial... But, if you got a word out of him you'd get quite a wake up call."

"..."

"I mean he was absolutely adorable. Big doe brown eyes and curly black hair that made death envy its color. He was gorgeous... But his parents. They just had him so someone would continue the business."
