The interview:
druidrose, what made you join Wattpad?
Actually, it was a friend of mine who suggested it to me in the first place. And I wasn't sure I was going to join for a while after that. See, I had received a bad piece of feedback on a random forum over the first chapter of TWO THOUSAND YEARS and it made me want to throw in the towel. I had posted the incident up on my short-lived blog and she suggested I try publishing my story on Wattpad when I had specifically been looking for somewhere tight-knit to post my story chapter by chapter. So about a year ago to the date, I signed up and began posting TWO THOUSAND YEARS, chapter by chapter, and here we are today...
Who do you thank most here on Wattpad, for helping you?
One of the first people I came to know on Wattpad was @May_flower123 and she has been such a loyal fan and reader ever since. We've been able to help each other in so many ways, and I honestly don't think I'd have lasted as long on Wattpad as I have without her.
Beyond that, I definitely have @masheena and @KarateChop and @FANTASCI to thank in helping me get my feet off the ground and truly finding my place. Those ladies have been nothing but awesome, and by bringing under @FANTASCI 's wing I've truly gained confidence in my work, and have made some amazing friends along the way!
What is your favourite book on Wattpad (Other than your own)?
I have a confession to make -- I don't read nearly as much on Wattpad as I should. For a while I was in book clubs to help me get new books on my reading list, but I've been horrible at keeping up with them. If I have to choose one, though, it would be @Carikavanlog 's THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT because Colin... rawr...
What is your favourite of your own books?
TWO THOUSAND YEARS will always be my baby. I don't think I've put more blood, sweat and tears into a project than I have with Book One. I remember when I was writing it for NaNoWriMo in 2014 that it was consuming me - I couldn't stop thinking about the plot points I wanted to hit, and I definitely couldn't stop writing it. Even to this day, I wouldn't have the additional books and novellas if it wasn't for where it all started... it still remains my first love and all-time favorite of my works.
Do you have any ideas for a next novel? And, if so, can you give us a sneak peek?
Funny you should ask - Book Three of The Empire Saga, BEGINNING'S END, is about halfway done and slated to start posting next month, but I'll be having a sneak peek featured in the Winter Edition of the Wattpad Block Party starting February 10th!

Last, but not least, who is your idol, as an author?
At this point in my life, I think it would have to be Sarah J. Maas. Since last summer, I have become obsessed with her books, especially A COURT OF MIST AND FURY, the second book of her A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES series. She has this amazing ability to created these strong female characters, and the worlds she creates makes you want to get lost in them. Not to mention the romances and love triangles and intrigue and... yes, she is by far my idol, as an author. Hands down.
Thanks to druidrose for participating in this interview!
