Third person's point of view.

As the company ran out the back of Balin's tomb, the Hobbits couldn't help but look back as the screeching and yelling of the orcs and goblins chased them through the empty halls of Moria. Celeb ran at the back and made sure no one stumbled or fell. "This way!" Gandalf shouted as he directed the group towards the bridge. Running for their lives Aragorn, looked back to see how much distance the company was putting in between them and the enemy and it wasn't good, subconsciously he grabbed Celeb's hand to hold as they ran, it gave him comfort to feel her, he wanted that, to feel at peace if they were all going to die in this place.

Celeb, even with the time and place couldn't help the warm blush that seeped into her cheeks. She didn't know why Aragorn would choose now of all times to hold hands, though not that she would ever complain. Through all the running and looking back, it didn't do any of them good if the filth were crawling out of the ceilings and the floors in front and behind them. The Hobbits were tiring and slowing down, so Celeb, kept urging them to run faster, grabbing them and shoving them keeping them on their feet as everyone ran. But it was now useless as the enemy stood around the group.

The ten companions were encircled, the orcs and goblins snarled and growled at the Celeb's mask hid her fear, as she looked at the numbers, while remembering how they just barely survived significantly less than the numbers before them and a Cave-troll and now they had more it was basically the same only their numbers made having less and one troll the better option. With the four Hobbits in the middle the two elves, the two men the dwarf and the wizard stood protectively around them they're backs to the hobbits as they faced the rabble. Gimli gave a shout of warning and swung his axes not that it helped.

But it must have made him feel better to do it anyway. Suddenly it got really quiet, then a drum beat thundered through the halls and it was followed by a demonic roar. A fiery glow started towards where everyone stood and the goblins and orcs became scared of this new adversary. So much so that they all took off, Gimli rumbled in approval as he thought it was because of his little growls and jeers of challenge. But no it was because of this demon from the depths of the earth. Legolas with his bow drawn and an arrow notched stood next to Gandalf watching with his elf eyes looking for this creature that hunted them.

Boromir the only human startled beyond comprehension leaned into Gandalf, "What is this new devilry?" Gandalf didn't answer and Aragorn looked in between the old wizard and the approaching threat. His hand clutching to Celeb's arm, having stepped closer to him reviling in the feeling of protection that wafted off of him. Gandalf with his eyes closed he opened his minds-eye to see what they were up against. It was as he feared, "A Balrog...a demon of the ancient world." Celeb could sense the recognition in both the wizard and her brother, "This foe is beyond any of you. Run!" Gandalf said taking off down a corridor.

The others were quick to follow, standing at a doorway, Aragorn and Celeb usurered everyone else in first, before following themselves. Her first then him. Stumbling down the stairs Celeb caught Gandalf making sure he was okay, when Aragorn rushed over and held his forearm. Shaking them both off he gripped Aragorn's shoulder, "Lead them on, Aragorn. The bridge is near." the three looked to the lone bridge before looking back to the grey wizard only to be shoved and yelled at. "Do as I say! Swords are no more use here." Aragorn watched the wizard rush to the path that lead to the bridge.

Celeb was just as confused as her love by the wizards aggression. Righting him she followed after him as the group pushed on. Each one speeding down the steps but being careful not to fall and plunge to their death. The steps were wide and short, the group was glad for it because if not they would have all tripped and fallen to their deaths. thank the gods for dwarves and their large feet. Stopping at a broken section, Legolas leapt first to the other side to catch those who followed him next. Once he had good footing he turned back and gestured for Gandalf to jump.

Catching the older man, they turned back to the others, but the orcs were back and were now firing arrows at the company. Drawing her bow, Celeb saw an arrow headed straight for Frodo like a snake she struck out and caught it before it out hit him and fired the arrow back with her own bow and hit the orc that fired it in the first place. "thank you, Celeb." Frodo said quickly before Aragorn tossed him to Legolas. Handing her bow to Aragorn he shot arrows as she grabbed Sam and threw him to her brother.

Taking it back Aragorn leapt across with Merry and Boromir followed with Pippin. Leaving only Gimli and her left. Turning to throw him next he held up his hand, "Nobody tosses a dwarf." and she backed off letting him jump only to stumble and start falling back but Legolas quickly reached out and grabbed him by the beard. Causing the red headed dwarf to cry out, "not the beard!" the dwarf's jump though had completely loosened the steps that made the jump small, and as they fell away Celeb had to climb to avoid dying. "Celeb!" her brother, Aragorn and the others cried afraid for her.

Giant chunks of rock fell from the ceilings and broke off more of the bridge like stairs, breaking even more the section she stood on wobbled and teetered. Leaning forward, her weight forced it to move towards her friends and they caught her when she flew into them. happy to hold her they set her on her feet before taking off again. Coming to an open area it was covered in flames, having been told the effects of dragon fire Celeb worried about these flames if a dragon's fire can ruin lives and bodies, she didn't want to know what demon fire could do.

"Over the bridge! Fly!" Gandalf shouted as they others ran by him. When the others got over the bridge and up the stairs and slightly out of the way, they stopped to wait for the grey wizard. Durin's Bane, the Balrog that killed Durin the 6th. Celeb only remembered this because of her Godfather, who so happens to be the 16th(I'm not completely sure) King under the mountain, Thorin Oakenshield. With horns almost as wide as his shoulders and flames burning on his back and wings as long as the corridor the company stared up at the creature in terror. Another name for it, 'The Nameless Terror'.

It held to it's reputation as the company worried for they're friend who stood on the bridge glaring at this beast. Celeb with the sword that wounded the creatures master seven times was about to rush back and help the wizard but was stopped by Aragorn. "This is his fight." she as much as she wanted to go, listened to Aragorn and waited with bated breath as the wizard shouted at the Nameless Terror. "You cannot pass!" the wizard shouted, drawing the attention of the black haired hobbit.

"Gandalf!" Frodo shouted, his expression terrified and worried. Burning into more flames the beast squared off with Gandalf and expanded his wings. "I am the servant of the Secret Fire, wielder of the flame of Anor. The dark fire will not avail you, Flame of Udûn!" Gandalf held up his glowing staff and blocked the flame sword that the creature wielded. His block sprouted a bright white light and it blasted the beast back, Aragorn took a step forward as his heart jumped warningly in his chest.

Roaring again the beast was getting angry it's heat could be felt even from across the bridge. "Go back to the Shadow." Gandalf sneered, but it only pressed on and put a cloven hoof on the bridge. Brandishing a whip fashioned out of fire, the beast cracked it over his head to try and intimidate the gray pilgrim but it did nothing. "You shall not Pass!" Gandalf roared, crashing his staff and sword together and jabbing the staff into the ground of the bridge. A blast of white light emulated and the beast snorted burning air before trying to step back onto the bridge.

Only to plunge into the dark abyss of the mines. It's defeated roars and screams echoed of the walls leaving a haunting feeling over everyone. Gandalf turning away from the falling beast let out a weak sigh, but the crack of the monster's whip gripped everyone by the heart and squeezed as they watched as the beast yanked Gandalf into the chasm only to grab onto the broken rocks and cling for dear life. Every thing moved in slow motion. Frodo shot out to help the old man, his voice cracked as he shouted, "Gandalf!" but Celeb held him back, her cries of him not to echoed his own broken sobs.

The hobbit seemed to stop when he saw that Gandalf tried to climb back up, but when the words "Fly, you fools!" left his mouth, he let go and fell. "NO!!!" Frodo screamed and struggled again, Celeb doing to only thing she could do she picked him up and carried him like a child, as he struggled against her, she turned for one last look and frowned when Aragorn stood shocked by the happening of this night. "Aragorn!!" her voice echoed, shaking her lover free of his mind and back into the harsh reality and just in time to avoid an arrow through the head.

She didn't have time to look back to make sure he was following and just leapt the stairs two at a time. Rushing to get everyone out before something caved and they were trapped in the mines forever.
