And there she was... El. Standing there right infront of me. After all this time, we finally got to hug again. I held her tightly, wanting to kiss her badly, but I couldn't, not here anyways.

"Mike. We need to go." She whispered.

"Why?"

"The Tesselhydra is here. And it wants you." She said as I pulled out the hug to look at her.

"Why me?"

"It wants your heart." She said as I started to feel scared. At that moment, I heard loud stomping noises behind me. I turned around to see the Tesselhydra about to eat me.

"ELEVEN RUN!" I yell.

"Not without you!" She said as she dragged me away but it was too late. My legs had already been eaten. I feel nauseous and as if I'm going to faint.

I look at El as she holds my body on the ground.

"El." I said as she looks into my eyes. "I'm in love with you. Ever since I met you, I've been in love with you. Always remember that, okay?" Then the Tesselhydra takes my body and shoves me down it's throat.

And then

And then

I shoot up out of my sleep.

It was all a dream.

I look at my clock and it read 9:04am. I decide to get up. I walk downstairs in my pyjamas and make some eggos. I eat them slowly as I admire the sun shining through the kitchen window. After I finish, I put the plate in the sink and grab a bottle of water. I got upstairs and get into some gym-wear and I start to train outside.

I start by doing 100 sit-ups, followed by unlimited amount of press-ups, then a few jumping jacks and a couple lunges. I need to get my body strong to fight. I need to fight for my girl.

Even if it means I'll die. I'd die for her any day.

After my exercise, I jump into the shower and I get changed. I wear a thermal shirt and I put my favourite stripped top over it. I wear some thick trousers along with my combat boots.

Hopper gave me a body warmer with two weapons inside. He gave me a knife and a handgun... Why would Hopper put this much trust in me? Heaven knows.

I looked at my clock again; 10:48am. I still have plenty of time.

You're probably wondering, where's my mum and dad in all this?

My mum and dad both have jobs working all day, literally. 7am until 10pm. We barely see them. Me and Nancy live for ourselves.

I get snapped out of my thoughts as Nancy walks into my room.

"You're ready?" She says as I nod bravely.

"Ready to get my girl." I said as I start to feel my cheeks going red. I take my body warmer off as it gets hot. I lay it on my bed and look at Nancy.

"How are you feeling?" Nancy randomly asks.

"To be honest." I said, thinking about my answer. "One part of me is scared, another part is determined, another is brave and another is full of love and hope."

"For Eleven? All your love and hope is for Eleven?" She says as I nod. "If we do save her, I'll convince mom to let her stay here. And then me and her can go shopping!"

"God you love shopping." I muttered.

"Every girl does." Nancy says as she walks out my room. I hear her walk downstairs. I walk into my hallway and look into my mirror. I begin to have a flashback of me and El.

FLASHBACK

The bedroom door opens as I turn around and see Eleven. In a pretty pink dress, walking slowly over to me, Lucas and Dustin. She stops infront of me. I felt my jaw drop as I fully admire her beauty, I can't stop staring at her beautiful face.

"Wow." Dustin says. "She looks-"

"Pretty." I interupt as El looks at me and smiles. I instantly realise I spoke out loud rather than in my brain so I try to play it cool. "Good!" I say, almost shouting. "You look... Pretty good." El nods a little and walks past us to look in my hallway mirror.

She walks right up to it as I stand behind her, leaning against the wall, I could see myself standing there and El looking at herself.

"Pretty." El whispers. "Good."

PRESENT DAY

Remembering the flashback, I walk to the mirror and I stand in the exact same place El did. I put my hand on the mirror and look at myself.

"Pretty." I whisper. "Good."
