Raine

"It's nice of you to take me out for lunch Ray. Thank you," Jen smiled as we sat down.

"Anything for my best friend. Plus this bitch got paid," I stuck out my tongue & laughed.

"Yes girl yes," she cheered, "this is a new place though. I like the vibe," she smiled & picked up the menu.

"Yeah. I've heard people say it's bomb. Especially their Pizza & Pasta Alfredo. Also their baked goods are damn good," I chuckled as I picked up a menu.

"Welcome to Delta Café. How may I-Oh my gosh hey Raine!" I heard a voice & looked up to see the guy I met at my meet & greet. I scrambled my brain as I tried to remember his name. Adrian? Anthony? Aidan!

"Hi Aidan. I didn't know you worked here?" I smiled & looked at him.

"Yeah. Just some extra money on the side," he giggled shyly.

"That's great for you dude. Yes," I smiled & gave him a playful slap on his arm.

"Well. What would you beautiful ladies like to order?" he asked as he whipped out his notebook.

"I'm gonna have the Pasta Alfredo with Bacon & Mushroom dressing with some grape juice please," I smiled as I looked at Jen.

"I'll have a small Margarita Pizza with some Apple juice," she ordered & handed her menu to him. I did the same.

"Alright. Coming right up," he smiled & walked into the kitchen.

"That kid. He's something," Jen's eyes began to wander.

"I think he's very sweet. He's so cute agh," I gushed with a little giggle.

"Hmmm," she was doubting out loud.

"What Jen?" I asked.

"I don't know. I just have something in here telling me that it's not all clear," she pointed to her chest.

"Jenevieve Heather Grady, what have I told you about judging people?" I asked.

"Nothing Raine Brittany Peterson," she threw a napkin at me.

"Don't do it," I chuckled & threw it back at her. We then saw Aidan walk out of the kitchen with our orders.

"Pasta Alfredo with Bacon & Mushroom dressing," he said as he passed me my order, "& Margarita Pizza," he passed Jen's meal. He set our glasses on the table & poured our drinks.

"If you guys need anything let me know," he smiled.

"Thank you so much Aidan," I smiled back at him.

"Yeah thanks," Jen nodded & began to eat.

"No problem. Raine, you're looking absolutely beautiful today," he winked & went back.

"Hmmm," Jen hummed as she ate.

"What?" I laughed & sipped my drink, "he's cute. Quite an interesting guy."

"I don't know. I mean. He's questionable," she peered at the kitchen door.

Aidan wasn't questionable. He was quite cute with this bit of sexy mystery to him. I had to admit, he gets way too excited when he sees me but overall I think he's a sweetheart.

Our meal drew to a close & Aidan came out with the bill.

"Here," I handed him back the book, "I also put in a really generous tip because of your excellent service to us."

"Thank you so much Raine," he smiled & turned to walk away but he stopped himself, "I know this might be creepy & stupid but the guys in the kitchen & I made a bet that I wouldn't be able to get you to go on a date with me. I mean it's a simple wager that now I think is so stupid but it's worth a try. Will you go out with me Raine Peterson?" he asked with a bright smile as his eyes creased at the sides.

I stayed silent. Aidan was a fan. But he was cute. I had to admit that. Plus I felt sympathy for him. I always want to help people in need. I decided to give it a try.

"Yeah. I mean it'll be fun," I smiled.

"Oh my gosh thank you so much!" he squealed.

"Just tell me when," I smiled & nodded.

"Friday night? The peer? 6pm?" he asked.

"Perfect," I smiled.

"Great. See you then," he smiled & walked away excitedly.

"Raine are you sure?" Jen asked with eyes of worry.

"He's just a cute innocent fan Jen. I'm making his day. What's wrong with that?" I asked.

"Well I don't know. We'll see," she said.
