Raine

I walked through the crowd at the mall as I made my way to Delta café.

I was still unsure of this. Aidan was sweet & all but something was off. Maybe it's me over thinking things again but I didn't know.

I stood outside the café & noticed something strange.

Nobody was inside.

"Huh?" I whispered to myself & pushed open the door. The store was dark, all the lights off & my heart began to thump.

"Hello?" I called out as I looked around, peering through the darkness.

Suddenly I saw the flickering of lights above me & the sound of music filling the room.

"What?" I asked myself as everything started to materialise.

All the tables & chairs were stacked up on the side as there was a one set up table for two in the centre of the room. It was decorated with rose petals & glitter. Which I love.

"Welcome to Paradise Raine Brittany Peterson," I heard a voice. Aidan then appeared from the kitchen with a bouquet of roses & a huge smile on his face.

"Oh my God Aidan," I started to tear up & held my hands to my face. He gently took my hand & kissed it as he pulled back my chair & sat me down. He sat down & took off the plate dishes above our meals.

"You made my favourite meal!" I squealed in delight.

"Yes," he chuckled softly & stared at me as I ate.

I could see his eyes following my every move, I looked up with big eyes & chuckled softly.

"Don't watch me while I eat. I look absolutely horrendous," I giggled.

"No. You do everything with such elegance Raine," he gushed.

"Aw Aidan," I cooed.

"I mean it," he nodded fast.

I smiled at him & continued eating & that's when things started popping into my head.

"Aidan," I began.

"Yes Raine," he sighed happily as he gazed at me with eyes of puppy love.

"The date was wonderful. I had a great time. But can I ask, how did you pull off all those things?" I asked.

"What things?" he asked paranoid.

"Getting into my house. Into my phone. Finding my house," my voice trailed off.

"Well," he croaked, "you actually have a spare key under your windowsill," he explained & that's when I hit my hand on my forehead.

"I even forgot about that key," I chuckled surprisingly.

"Yeah," he nodded, "I found your house on Google maps, that took me longer than usual because I'm actually a mastered technology hacker. That also explains how I got into your phone without knowing your password," he explained.

"Oh," I nodded slowly & continued eating. I felt intimidated.

"I hope you don't think I'm weird. It's just I wanted to help & I really really really like you so," he sighed.

"Aidan you don't have to babble, I get it. I think what you did was very sweet. Thank you," I smiled & got up to kiss his cheek. Just as I did, he quickly turned his head & kissed me & bit my lip.

"Wow," I chuckled & held my lip, "pretty slick," I smirked & he smirked with me.

"You're pretty fun Aidan," I smiled at him. He stretched across the table & tugged my arm.

"Come over here," he whispered. I stood up & walked next to him. He grabbed my wrist & pulled me down onto his lap.

"You're so sneaky," I giggled.

"You haven't seen anything yet then baby girl," his hand slowly slithered up to my cheek as he cupped his gently.

We looked at each other as we felt time fade into nothingness. I was having a great time. Aidan was great. I think I actually liked him too.

"Raine you're incredible," he whispered as he rested his forehead against mine.

"Thank you," I blushed deeply & felt his lips against mine. I liked it. A lot. & after that, it was all a blur.
