"Are you sure you don't need me right now?" Jen asked through the speaker.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. You go on that date of yours," I cheered a bit.

"Thanks," she giggled, "but call me if something happens okay. Bye."

"Bye," I said & hung up. I placed my phone on the table & went to the kitchen to get a bag of chips. I came back to see a text from Aidan.

Please give me another chance...

I sighed & looked down at his message, deciding whether to reply or not.

You scare me Aidan...

I was being honest. He really was. I was still spooked by what happened a few weeks ago. This was the first time he's contacted me since but all those memories came back.

I heard a soft knock from my door & stood up to answer it & I saw him, all puppy eyed & pouty.

"What do you want?" I sighed as I rubbed the bridge of my nose.

"To apologise & ask for a second chance," he begged.

"Aidan," I murmured.

"Raine I'm so sorry for how I acted. Please I'll never do it again," he sighed.

"Aidan I really don't know," I trailed off.

"I can show you I'm serious," he walked forward & held my forearms gently. He leaned in & pressed his lips against mine but after two seconds I pulled away.

"What are those pills for Aidan?" I whispered inaudibly.

"What pills?" he whispered calmly.

"The ones," I held my words, "the ones I found in your bathroom cabinet."

"You went through my bathroom cabinet!" he raised his voice & let go of my forearms, forcing me to stumble back a bit.

"I didn't mean to but I just want to know," I whispered.

"That's my privacy Raine! You have no right to ask me or even look through my things in my home!" he yelled & paced around the room.

"Aidan I'm sorry," I trailed off.

"Yeah you'll be sorry. You'll be sorry you ever asked what's wrong with me!" he screamed & took my vase from the table & smashed it & there it was. The beast he had been hiding all this time.

"Get out," I said, fearlessly. He then realised what he had done.

"Raine I'm sorry please-"

"Get out!" I yelled & with that, he looked at me with eyes of fury & left.
