Nicki POV
I'm walking through the supermarket with Ciara getting a fuckload of stuff. I'm throwing a party tonight, me and Ci are getting the snacks, Trey and Chris are getting the alcohol, and Robyn and Beyoncé are at my house setting the lights and shit up.
I stop in my tracks when I notice a thing of Oreos.
"Ci what the fuck is this?" I ask while picking it up
"Oreos" She says
"Yea I know that but why? This is a high school party, who's eating Oreos?" I ask
"Me" She says
"Just get it for me then, pleeeeaaaassseeee" She groans
"Ugh" I sigh
"Who don't like cookies?" She asks
"I didn't say that, we can have cookies but not Oreos" I say
"Onika please" She says while clutching onto my arm
"Fine get the damn Oreos but get 10 containers of those bakery cookies and brownies" I say
"Ok" She smiles
I playfully roll my eyes and go to get more snacks. The party starts in 3 hours so we move a little quicker since we still have other things to do. In total we got like 10 big bags of chips, 3 bottles of 3 different types of sodas, and a whole bunch of cookies and brownies. Once we leave Ci places the orders for the food and we head back to my house to get ready. A little over a hour and I'm ready, I have on black ripped jeans, white v-neck, black leather jacket, 4 inch black heels, black studded earrings, hair straightened with a half part, and light make up. I make my way downstairs and stop in my tracks when I see Ciara by the door. Mama looks good! She has on a black long sleeve dress, black 4 inch heels, diamond studded earrings, hair in loose curls, stopping at her shoulders, and the same amount of makeup as me. Gosh she looks so beautiful I could cry, I just might. I continue walking slowly down the stairs, eyes on her the whole time. Once I reach her she has a smirk on her face and I grab her hand, interlocking our fingers.
"Flustered?" She asks
I lean in closer to her ear.
"You have no idea baby" I whisper
I let the others know we're going to get the food, my mom is making the buffalo wings since it would be too much to place a order for, we stop at the pizzeria and pick up the 30 boxes we ordered. Then we go pick up the platter of nachos. I pull over and take out my phone to make a call, I click on one of my friends from school.
"Yo" I say
"Wus good Nic" He says
"You comin right?" I ask
"Yea why?" She asks
"Bring the edibles" I say
"I gotchu" He says
"Aight" I say
We disconnect the call and I start driving back the house. Not too long after we got back the party started and it's been going on for a couple hours now. I feel a tap on my shoulder and turn to see a familiar girl.
"Hey Nicki let's go talk" She smirks
She grabs my hand and pulls me toward a wall, I smirk approvingly, ok sis I see you. She wraps her arms around my neck and I pin her against the wall, I capture her lips and place my hand under her chin. I pull back and was about to go for the girl neck but something told me to look around, and boom there goes Ciara right next to me with an unreadable expression.
"H-h-hey" I stutter
Why do I feel so guilty like I was just caught?
"I just wanted to know if you knew where Robyn and Bey were" She mumbles
The girls starts kissing my neck and my eyes widen, I notice something change in Ci's eyes and I slightly push the girl away.
"Um, not r-really" I say
I clear my throat and she nods her head before walking away. The girl wraps her arms around my waist and leans back into my neck. Ugh this feels so wrong, I remove her and head off the find Ciara. The only reason I'm still messing with people is cause I have needs, and me and ci probably have no chance of getting together, so shit. After looking throughout the whole house I make my way to the backyard and find her sitting in a lawn chair by the pool area. It's not a lot of people out here so it was easy to find her, I sit next to her and look over at her.
"Ci?" I call out
She closes her eyes and I see 2 tears release, I feel sadness overcome me and I hold her face with both of my hands, I use my thumbs to wipe them away.
"What's wrong?" I ask softly
"Nothing" She says
More tears fall and feel the need to cry myself while seeing her like this.
"It doesn't seem like nothing" I say
"I wish I could tell you but I'm not ready yet so I won't" She says
"You wanna stay out here for a while?" I ask
She nods her head and I grab her hand.
"Come on, I wanna show you something but you gotta stop crying if I do, ok?" I ask
She nods her head and smiles, that beautiful smile that I love so much. I smile back and internally sigh, oh how I love you so much. I walk towards the tree and stop in front of the ladder.
"You're finally gonna show me your treehouse?!" She asks excitedly
"Yup" I smile
She has been asking about it since she first came to my house but I never let her inside, why? I don't know tbh. The ladder is like one of those ladders in a jungle gym so it's not that dangerous. She grabs onto the ladder and starts climbing it.
"You got it? You ARE in heels" I chuckle
"But I can also dance in heels so this is nothing" She says
"You are a great dancer" I smile
I follow behind her and instruct her on how to open the door. We sit on the setup of sheets I made as a bed and she looks around in awe, I start telling her about my moments as a child in here and things like that. We've probably spent 2 hours in here with just us talking and laughing. And the aftermath is her head on my shoulder and my right hand interlocked with her left. Silence filling the air along with our thoughts.
"You feeling better now?" I ask
She lifts her head and gives me a small smile.
"Yea" She says
"Glad I could help" I whisper with a smile while looking into her eyes
Why did I whisper? It just came out like that, call me a sap all you want.
I rub my thumb over her hand while maintaining eye contact with her. Unintentionally I start to lean in and bring my left hand up to her cheek. Her eyes slowly shut and I press my lips against hers, my breath hitches slightly when she kisses back. I slowly breath out my nose and bring my other hand up, holding her other cheek and deepening the kiss.
