I'm getting ready to have dinner with Onika and her family and to say I'm nervous would be an understatement. I finish up my hair and start applying my makeup, once I'm done I look over myself in the mirror.

The sound of my window opening causes me to look away from the mirror. In comes Onika dressed similar to how I am.

"You look great" She smiles
"So do you but are you sure I'm fine?" I ask
"Babe trust me you look amazing" She says
"Ok let's go" I say
We go back to her house and get into her parents car, making our way to her great great grandfather's house.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" I ask
"Trust me, everything will be fine" She says
"They know you're not a vampire and there's no need to be nervous, nobody's gonna look at you like a meal" Her dad says
I mumble an "ok" and just enjoy the ride, soon we pull up to the house.

We walk into the house and immediately a man walks up and smothers her with kisses.
"Onika my baby, I missed you" He says
"Hi Poppa I missed you too" She says
"This must be Ciara" He says while turning to me
"Ci this is my great great grandfather aka mister softee" She smiles
"You can just call me Poppa, it's nice to finally meet you" He says
"Same to you" I smile
She introduces me to the rest of her family and they're so funny and welcoming. Oh yea and those genes run ALL through them, a beautiful sight. A frown forms when I realize all of this will be taken from her just because of me. She walks up to me and leans down, giving me a kiss.
"Don't worry about that right now, come on I wanna show you something" She says
She grabs my hand and we go into the backyard.
"You really wanna be involved in my vampire ways?" She asks
I nod my head and she turns her back to me.
"Get on my back and hold on tight, like super tight" She says
Once I'm securely on her back she takes off into the sky and I look around in awe.
"Am I going too fast?" She asks
"No it's fine" I say
After some time she comes to a stop and just floats.
"Where are we?" I ask
"Canada" She says
My jaw drops and she laughs while rubbing my hands.
"Right across the water is Toronto" She says

On our way back to Atlanta I take in all the glory of her, she's really going against everything just cause she loves me and that makes me love her even more.
"Is it bad if I fall asleep?" I ask
"No, I got you" She says
I give her a soft kiss on her neck and lay my head on her shoulder, dosing off with a smile on my face.
