Adraer Tirrin

I kept her close the whole ride. She was not leaving my side. She was shrunk into her cloak, ether from fear of just being cold.

We rode for a while, stopping at an inn to get some food and to warm up. I helped her off, I'm surprised she didn't fall off from exhaustion.

We got a table near the fire and ordered food. Wren and Tarnas were devouring their food, but Zae never touched hers, just stared at it, "Zae you need to eat."

She didn't seem to care. I grabbed her shoulder lightly, "Zae eat." She looked at me with blood shot eyes talking quietly, "I'm not hungry. I'll eat later."

I took a breath, "Please eat." She looked down at the food and picked up the spoon stirring the oatmeal, she finally took a bite, "Thank you."

We talked, and she fell asleep on my shoulder. She mush be terrified from last night. I wrapped my arm around her, I don't like to see her like this.

We were riding again once she woke up, she looked better now, but she still seemed to zone out every now and then.

"Zae!" She focused looking startled. I swerved my horse over grabbing her reins before she went off the cliff and stopped us.

"You need to be more careful!" I lifted her chin so she looked at me, "What's the matter, why are you acting like this."

She reached for her reins trying to get them back but I held them tight, "You're not getting these back till your better, you will ride by me."

We rode all day, no one talked. I'm guessing my brothers didn't want to mess with me right now. Today wasn't going the way I hoped.

We reached a house in the woods. Finally. This was my old house, my mother still lived here, she would help us.

I helped her off taking her hand in mine. Wren went up knocking on the door, no one answered.

He opened the door pulling his sword out, "Wren whats wrong." I let go of her hand pulling out my sword going in.

Chairs were tossed everywhere, the table flipped, glass broke.

Zae walked in and gasped, "No." I looked back, "What."

She started freaking out, running in the house and around the corner, she screamed. I ran seeing her shaking looking at a blue symbol on the wall.

I dropped my sword wrapping her in my arms, "It's alright."

She shook her head,"They beat us here."

"Who did." She wrapped her arms around me, "The Seekers. I'm so sorry Rin, they ether took her or killed her. This is all my fault."

Her legs gave out as she started crying. I picked her up carrying her outside for some air while the two went to see if she was still there.

We sat on the front steps, her head was buried in my shoulder. She was sleeping by the time they came out, "She's not here Rin."

I closed my eyes trying not to yell, I didn't want to wake her, she needed sleep.

She shot up a moment latter, looking around breathing fast. I held her and she tried to get away, "We need to go, Rin! They're here!"

Tension hit the air, like thunder before the storm. A void opened a few feet away.

She slipped out of my arms yelling at us, "Run, you idiots run!

Three men walked out of it, all in white hoods, blue rimming their robes. She pulled out her sword, it was a katana

The white symbols glowed a bright white, it glowed like white fire.

The tall man in the center spoke, his voice echoed, "Zaezen, I see you inherited your fathers sword. Has he taught you how to use it. Oh wait, he's not here."

His buddies laughed. She murmured something under her breath, the white spread up her arm, in a flash. When I could see she was wearing a light set of armor, engraved with gold.

"Don't ever underestimate me." They stopped laughing. The man smiled, "This fight will still be easy, your just a little girl."

She twirled the sword, spun, then yelled throwing a streak of light his way. It caught him off guard, but he deflected it.

She smiled, "Lets get this over with."
