Adraer Tirrin

We ride through the woods, tears threatening to spill down my cheeks. I had to turn back, I can't leave her.

I grab the reins yanking them harshly to the side to turn my horse around. It rears back twisting around heading back to where we came from at a full sprint. We weave around trees as fast as my horse will go.

We reach where we were attacked, Zea's sword lays on the ground. There's a pool of blood in a mark where a body was laying, the monster dead not far away.

I see horse prints littering the ground. I feel my anxiety rising inside me. Where did Zae go?

Grabbing her sword I start off after the tracks, all my years of hunting paying off for something good. I hear horses behind me, glancing back seeing my brothers and her aunt. The day drags out as we ride, the sun just touching the horizon.

We skid to a stop as we hit a small clearing before a cliff, the drop off just over 1,000 fathoms deep. I let out a frustrated cry that echoes into the sky.

Tarnas comes up placing a hand upon my shoulder.

"Rin, we will find her. She knows how to defend herself." I lower me head as tears start to streak my cheeks. I can feel the emptiness inside of me, aching for her embrace.

Wren comes up on my other side, determination in his eyes.

"Come brother, let's go save her." I take a deep breath lifting my head. New strength runs through my veins. The strength and willingness to save my companion.

"Thank you two for support," I turn to Novair "Let's go find her."

Tarnas points to a spot where the tracks pick up. I take off with my brothers flanking me, Novair not far behind as we barrel through the woods.

We stop to rest the horses by a creek, letting them drink while we start a plan.

"What are we going to do when we find her. We can't just charge at whoever has her." I look at the woman suddenly hit at the relization that Zae's captors could be dangerous.

"We prepare for the worse," I look to Wren "How is your sneaking going."

He smiles "Where'd you think shield went." I glare at him.

"You never gave it back ether," I crouch down clearing the dirt, unsheathing my dagger "Here's the plan.
