"Hello students. It's Principal Mitch." The same male voice I had heard in the hospital wing said over the intercom. "I would like to welcome a very special person to this school. It's a new student, but he is much more powerful than all of you."

"Wow. I felt that roast." Tyler said.

"He is the first in the testing system to get the "Level 6" ranking, so please, make him feel at home." He finished and the intercom went out. Then the cafeteria erupted into 5 million decibel chatter.

"Level 6?" Jess asked. "Are you sure there's even a level 6 ranking?"

"I suppose no one's ever told us that there wasn't one. The test could have ten rankings for all we know." I said.

"But getting just a level five is difficult. I tried my best and only got a three." Claudia said.

"She's got a point. There are only about six people in the entire academy, which is around 10,000 people total, who have level five powers. Level six just seems impossible." Kyle said.

"How about, instead of doubting this, we go meet him before everyone else does? We could see if his intentions with the powers are good or not." Tyler suggested.

...

"Ummm... hello?" Claudia said from behind the boy we had searched for and identified. He turned around.

     'What is it?' He asked.

"Whoah? He speaks through telepathy!" Jess said, shocked.

'Is there a problem?' He asked.

"Nah, man. There's no problem, we just didn't expect it. Are you just that powerful with your telepathic powers?" Kyle asked.

'I guess you could say that. I really don't like to toot my own horn. Just try to ignore the fact that I talk to you through telepathy. I suddenly wasn't able to speak after the testing, so this is how I've decided to communicate now.' He said, still doing normal expressions as if he was talking, but his lips weren't even moving. He was darker skinned with  short, black hair and had a yellow T-shirt on with blue cargo shorts on. He was kind of short for 14, at around 5' 3"-ish.

"Have you discovered any of your powers yet?" I asked, interested in how the experience was for another person.

'Other than this "speaking through my head" thing, no. Do they come naturally? By the way, my name's Leo.' Leo said.

"When you finally use your powers, the words to activate them will just kinda come naturally. You won't know the words you're saying before, while, and even after you say them." I explained.

"So, since you haven't discovered your powers yet, do you wanna train with us after school? We have a club sorta thing going on. It's on the top floor on in an empty training classroom, number 4-G. We can help you find out your powers." Claudia said.

'I'll think on it, but my answer's probably going to be yes.' He said, then walked away.

"Interesting kid. Can't tell whether he's Mexican or just has a sweet tan like me." Tyler said. "Also, smooth segway, Claud."

"Odd thing to say." Jess commented. "We told him the room number, so he'll no where to go. I don't think he's up to anything bad. Maybe we'll actually get to teach him."

...

"We've been waiting for about ten minutes. Is this guy going to show up or what?" Tyler asked, tapping his foot.

"Hey, be patient. He's probably lost. I get that." I said.

"Don't you think we should just start training without him? He'll be here in a few minutes and we'll just fill him in." Kyle suggested.

"No, we've got another newbie." Jess said, glancing at me. "We'll just wait."

"Newbie? Who's a level four here?" I asked, making a mistake because I realized, only after the fact, that I didn't know her level.

"Guess who's stupid and didn't know I'm a level four as well?" She asked.

"Shots firrrrred!" Tyler said in the background.

'What does "shots fired" mean?' Leo asked.

"Leo. You're here! Now we can get started." Claudia said. "You and Kale, go head to the hologram room in the back."

"I swear, if I have to blow another hole in the school I will." I warned.

"For this time, this classroom is owned by us. So if you break it, I will not hesitate to break you." Claudia warned, suddenly becoming evil.

"I surrender! I surrender! Geez. Scary." I muttered as I opened the hologram room for Leo. Then, the room was split in half with a holo-wall.

"We're gonna do two tests. One on Leo and one on Kale. Kale's gonna be fighting, and losing. Leo's gonna figure out his powers. We'll set Kale's hologram to six and Leo's to two." She said, talking to herself as she navigated the keyboard.

"We'll see who's gonna lose when you send that hologram at me!" I yelled, actually excited to fight this thing.

"Just a warning: The first hologram that you got destroyed at was level one." Jess said. We we're about to witness Leo's true powers. And my death.
