Wait. Kyle left us to protect all of the other Neuropsionists at the second facility. He should be hundreds of miles away from us. But there he is, storming down the hallway to the control room with a hundred or so Neuropsionists charging behind him, ready to attack.
"I'm back, baby!" He screamed, as he clasped his hands together and smacked the floor. He created a shock wave that blasted all three Star Admirals away from us. His hundred or so "recruits" charged after them and began to swarm them. We let our guard down and let them take care of the Star Admirals. It seemed they had it under control."How the heck did you get here?" Claudia asked.
"Well, after a little snooping around of myself, I found out their real plans. Through files I found out that Solution 4O96B, a strange word I found out from one of the guards, is actually a fluid the testing machine injects into you to give you the powers that you have right now. I deducted that the generator was completely useless as far as the weapon was concerned. But I needed more information before I led an attack on here. I had to figure out what the weapon did. You won't like the answer. One, the gun is not supposed to destroy things in the sky, but the Earth itself. They have a bunker below this facility. They plan to make a new Earth. Second, the firing mechanism is not controlled in the actual control room. It's controlled up there on a catwalk-" Kyle was cut off by surprise.
I looked up to the catwalk surrounding the tip of the gun and saw a figure. I immediately scanned the room for Star Admirals. Shifter, Might, and Forecast were all there, incapacitated of course.
"Where the hell is Beamer!?" I shouted. Then, I knew. Beamer had teleported up to the control catwalk and was now making the five minutes we had left turn into zero.
"Tyler, if you can do anything right, you need to throw me up to that catwalk surrounding the gun. I don't care if you crush your brain doing it, the entire world is at stake. Eight billion-something people. Get me up to that ledge." I ordered. My face was as serious as I had ever remembered. He picked me up under my knees and by my back and seemed to be concentrating all of his energy. Then I was flying through the air. Beamer got closer and closer. His concentration was completely fixed on the control panel. Tyler had a perfect shot, like always, and my feet slammed right into the back of his head. He fell to the ground, but he was tough.
"Look. You don't have to do this. You're just going to kill a bunch of innocent people." I attempted at persuasion.
"No. I must do this." Beamer said. "Do you know what they did to me? They took me. Right off of the streets to test on me. Tore me apart, but never put me back together the same way. And now I'm stuck with this power. They and every other person who does not have enough power must die. Survival of the fittest."
"I can't talk you off of this ledge, can I?" I asked.
"Don't think you can. I've staked my entire life on this." He said. "And you're trying to ruin it."
"Then I guess you'll have to fight you off of it," I responded, and shot light bullets everywhere. But as soon as I shot, he teleported to the other side of the gun and was shielded. He then quickly warped back and slammed his fist into my jaw. He was a fairly big guy, and he was strong. My jaw felt like it'd been run over by a truck. I was knocked back to the edge of the catwalk. He warped over to me and put his foot on my chest. I made a small light blade and cut his leg, just enough for him to recoil and for me to slide back and attack again. I gathered more energy and cast a Helical Pillar down on him. The pillar cleared and Beamer was just behind it, barely scratched. I saw the terminal behind him and it read one minute. I was running out of time. I felt the anger boil up in me and it rose, white hot. Then the all too familiar feeling rose up to my mouth. The feeling of uttering words I didn't even understand.
"Celestial Gate." I spat at him. The sky turned dark and started to swirl. A circle opened with a ring around it. Ancient sigils swirled around. Then a massive gust of wind, light, and explosions rained down on everything. Bang! Bang! Bang! Crash! The feeling of ultimate obliteration washed over me as I reduced the entire facility to rubble. Including the weapon.
