Eliana, Leo, Tyler, and I got back into a taxi and drove out to our discreet house as soon as we got Jess's message. We walked in, dumped the the groceries and looked at the scene our house had become. the island in the kitchen was destroyed in the middle, along with all the glass in the house being shattered. The evidence papers we had on the Dunes were scattered literally everywhere around the house. Furniture was tipped over, doors were broken down, mattresses were torn.
"Guys! Search the house!" I yelled, as I dashed up to Claudia's room. She wasn't there. Her bedroom had remained completely untouched. It appeared just like it had when I had come there about an hour ago. The bed was freshly made and everything was uniformly put down. Freaked out, I ran back downstairs and grouped everyone together.
"You find anything?" Tyler asked, and my greatest fear happened. Everyone said no. I knew instantly what had happened and it scared me out of my skin.
'If no one's going to state the obvious, I will.' Leo said. 'They were taken by the same people that attacked the Academy.'
"Well, that would make sence except for the fact that I was the person who killed their guy, not Claudia, Kyle, nor Will." Eliana said.
"Good point..." I thought on it, hard. "Maybe they just need Neuropsionists. Anyone with power."
"Thats a good theory, except its not. Cause why the heck would they steal specifically Neuropsionists?" Tyler asked.
"Maybe they're gonna build an army?" I guessed.
"Well I don't think if I got captured by the enemy I'd just suddenly start working for them." Tyler said,
"Okay... then maybe it's something inside us?" I guessed again. "Whatever the reason is, it doesn't matter. We've got all the files we could ever need about the Dunes here, and most importantly, the coordinates."
'Sounds good. I'll go check the papers scattered inside the living room.' Leo offered.
"I'm gonna take the kitchen, and maybe clear out some 'papers' in the fridge." Eliana said, mischievously.
"Eliana, that fridge is empty." Tyler corrected. "I'll go take one of the upstairs bedrooms."
"I'll be right behind you." I said, following Tyler up the steep stairs to the second floor.
...
"Guys! I got some coordinates! And a little more than we needed!" I yelled to the whole house, and surprisingly, everyone came.
"You did? Well spit 'em out already, I wanna save my friends." Tyler ordered, as soon as everyone entered the room.
"40.3399° N, 127.5101° E are the coordinates of the South border of the Dunes." I said, reading straight off of the paper and struggling with the ten thousandths decimal points.
"Well? You said you had a little more than what you needed." said Eliana. "My socks are still on. Blow 'em off already."
"It also went into description of what we're looking for. At the coordinates 35.8617° N, 104.1954° E, is the facility Claudia, Will, and Kyle are trapped in, named the Secondary Containment and Manipulation Facility. It's sole purpose is to kidnapNeuropsionists and contain them, thus the name. The manipulation part, when descriptive, is actually vague in its description. It references 'Solution 4O96B', which is used to power 'Experiment 96', which could be literally anything. But, the so called Experiment 96 is not located on the Secondary Containment and Manipulation Facility. It is actually located in another area named the Primary Research and Activation Facility. I believe the 'Activation' part, according to this log, is to do with Experiment 96, which I am fairly certain is a weapon. It mentions some other facility, but I don't think it's important to this mission.
"Nice job! I didn't expect you to find it so quickly." Tyler complimented. "But I have a question: why such long names?"
"I'd assume young people trying to sound older or more professional, or both." I suggested.
"Are you saying... they're kids? Like us?" Eliana asked, thinking I was ludicrous.
"Well, they could very well be defectors from the Academy. The reason they keep attacking Neuropsionists is maybe 'cause they are seeking revenge on the Academy. Although, this doesn't make a lick of sense. Why would they want to defect against the Academy? All they've done is help us train our powers." I thought out loud.
Tyler was poring over his current information with the new information I had just given him, and he seemed shocked. Before I could ask, he spoke his mind. "Maybe because after they defected they Academy wasn't just training Neuropsionists anymore."
"What the heck are you saying?" Eliana asked.
Tyler spoke up again, visibly sweating, "I'm saying, that according to this information, the first wave of Neuropsionists that were given powers rebelled against the system. They then built bases in what was to become the dunes. What I'm saying is, the true purpose of the Academy now is to train an army of people to eventually attack this group."
