Darkness had fallen among the camp and Nova had given up on the drop ship. The wires were fried and the solars' cooked. They were all alone.

She took in her surrounding and watched as Blake and his followers decided it would be a bright idea to take off wristbands. Idiots.

As Nova watched the flames dance among the charred logs, two pairs of boots came into her view.

"Hey baby doll." Murphy crouched down to eye level and looked at Novas wrist expectantly.
"Not taking it off Murph." She kept her eyes on the flames.
"Come on, your parents are dead. No one will miss you." He tried to reason.
"Thanks for the reminder." Nova began to rise and discovered that the other pair of boots belonged to Bellamy Blake.

She glares at them both before barging into Bellamy's shoulder but he didn't budge. Instead he latched onto her forearm and spun her back around.
"Take off the band." He said through gritted teeth.
"Burn in hell Blake." Nova spat back.
The two hurricanes stared at each other with a feeling of fire burning their veins. Bellamy's harsh grip was sure to leave a mark but Nova didn't wince. Instead she felt and electric hatred seep out of her. His brown eyes clashed violently with her green ones.

"Let her go." Wells stormed over to the gathering delinquents around Bellamy, Nova and Murphy.
Nova snatched her arm out of Bellamy large hand and went to stand by Wells.

"What the hell are you doing?" Wells asked, looking at the pile of broken wristbands.
"We're liberating ourselves." Bellamy replied, taking his eyes off of Nova.

"That's funny, I've never heard of involuntary liberation." Nova spat.

"You're trying to get us all killed. The communication system is dead. Nova couldn't fix it. These wristbands are all we've got. Take them off and the Ark will think we're dying, that it's not safe for them to follow." Wells finished breathlessly.

"That's the point, Chancellor. We can take care of ourselves." Bellamy inspired around of agreement from the crowd.
"You think this is a game? Those aren't just our friends and parents up there. They're our farmers, doctors our engineers. I don't care what he tells you. We won't survive on our own. And besides, if it really is safe, how could you not want the rest of our people to come down?"
"My people are already down. Those people locked my people up. Those people killed my mother for the crime of having a second child. Your father did that." Bellamy spoke with venom in Wells' face.
Nova stepped in front of Wells, again, and stood inches away from the boy.

"Aw, has the leader got a tragic story? Well guess what, we all have. Jaha floated my Mother and Father before I could walk. I'm not pissed at Wells." Nova could feel the hatred seeping out of Bellamy for interrupting his speech. He knew that she is going to be difficult.
"My father didn't write the laws."
"No he enforced them but not anymore. Not here. Here, there are no laws. Here, we do what ever the hell we want. When ever the hell we want. You don't have to like it, you can even try to stop it. Change it. Kill me. You know why? What ever the hell we want." Bellamy sparked a chant that pierced Novas ears.

Then, it started to rain. Something that Nova never thought she'd experience. She loved it. A smile couldn't help but etch across her face, lighting up her ocean coloured eyes.

"We should collect this."
"What ever the hell you want."
Wells turned abruptly, grabbing Nova by the arm, the same place Bellamy had moments ago, deepening the bruise.
"It just so happens that I want to send a thousand volts to his head." She mumbled to Wells, failing to get a smile.

When Nova turned back, Bellamy Blake was still watching.
