"You're a low-down backstabber, Aiden! This was my group and I wanted it to be a good thing, but you kick me out?! I quit, I'm tired of trying to fool with you, Aiden!"
The said hazel-haired boy's head had a sharp pain, shaking it off and walking throughout the palace halls. He tightly gripped his diamond sword in his right hand, knowing what he'd done. He knew Petra was okay, but the others were held back. It was his fault. He told himself over and over it wasn't, but he knew it was.
He almost murdered Jesse.
He almost killed Lukas.
He almost hurt Petra, Ivor, Olivia, and Axel.
Yet, he hated himself for not realizing his mistakes sooner. He wanted to give in, he wanted to live a new life, but his mistakes are what he couldn't change. He couldn't change who he was, and that was a fact, he shouldn't have been a jerk to Jesse and his friends, he shouldn't have shoved Lukas away. He could believe that Lukas was a loyal friend, not some little wet puppy sniffing around people for a living.
The hazelnette's walked slowed, sliding down a wall and stuffing his head into his knees. He mistreated Maya and Gill, Isa and Reginald, Milo and the citizens, and Benedict and Reuben...
He let out a quiet sob, shaking violently with his hands trembling. Aiden's mixed emotions weren't helping at all as for it made his head pound, making him want to justify against himself.
He heard footsteps before standing up and straightening his posture. The hazelnette wiped tears off his eyes and sniffled, knowing whoever was coming was getting closer telling by the footsteps getting louder.
"A-Aiden?", he looked behind him, seeing Maya and Gill with worried looks. " Are you okay? We heard...crying."
"Wh-what?! Why would I be crying?!", Aiden snapped, stomping and having a fake anger. Maya and Gill flinched. " U-Uh no reason..", Gill said in a gruffy voice. "We have to get back to patrol, um, bye.", the two left, leaving Aiden behind. The hazelnette eyelids burned, obviously tired, but he didn't let that hold him back. He walked to the throne room amongst the dark hallway, putting his sword away and sitting on the golden throne.
He just couldn't get the image of killing Jesse by throwing him off the island out of his mind, he absolutely regretted it. He knew he'd just killed the hero, he knew he hurt Lukas. He knew he became the villain. He never wanted that in his younger days, but it seems that was fate.
" Dammit!", Aiden cursed, clenching his teeth and balling his hands into fists. He was a monster and there was no denying it. All of it was jealous-driven, it was pathetic. All of this happened over that small little thing. And just to think he would've had a great life. He slumped in the throne and laid across it, taking out a creeper egg and tossing it up an down.
After doing do, he heard a creak. Aiden looked over to the doors to see an angered Reginald standing at his throne. "You're a monster!", he growled. Aiden sighed, he didn't need anymore people telling him that if he already knew. " I-"
"You should've just fell into the abyss!", Reginald shouted. The swords-man's heart dropped into the deep pits of his stomach. Things like this were his pet peeves and often triggered him. " You should've died to that creeper!", Aiden shouted right back, emotional at the moment. "You killed the city, Milo, and citizens! You killed the founder! You killed Jesse!"
Aiden froze, heart thumping loudly in his ear when he heard Jesse's name flow out the mouth of an ignorant. Or though, maybe he was the ignorant...
However, he didn't hear the door creak open wider to reveal the person he was just thinking about. Aiden was just about to throw the egg at Reginald before being stopped. "Leave him alone, Aiden!"
Aiden turned towards the source of the voice, eyes widening at the sight of the injured brunet. "Y-you should be dead! You fell, I saw!", he shouted, eye twitching. " Jesse, is the founder okay?", Reginald asked. Aiden was pissed. "Shut it, imbecile!", he threw the egg and there spawned a creeper. Before Jesse could even limp over to Reginald and help, the creeper exploded and sent the guard flying.
" You...you should be dead.", Aiden focused his attention back on Jesse. "Sorry, Aiden. But unfortunately, its kinda hard to kill me.", Jesse unsheathed his diamond sword while holding his left arm, knowing it was probably dislocated from falling.
The hazelnette only growled, taking out blaze eggs and throwing two at him. Jesse avoided the fireballs and killed one, rolling over to kill the other one. He winced, but the blaze dropped a rod and Aiden could be seen outside, overshadowed with a dark expression.
Jesse cautiously moved towards the door, glancing around at all the rain before catching Aiden's mint-green eyes. They seemed filled with fear and terror, so when he looked up, he dropped his sword. Aiden had a confused look. Jesse kicked his almost-broken sword backwards into the throne room. " I'm not going to fight you, Aiden. I know you're scared..afraid even. I know you don't want to fight, you don't have to hide it.
Finally, Aiden broke. He dropped onto his knees with a loud sob. He never wanted to kill anyone nor hurt them, but he did anyways. "I-Im sorry! I-I n-never meant to-", he choked out.
Jesse walked toward him, dropping down and pulling him close into a hug. " Shhh, everything's alright, don't cry." Aiden took a while to calm down, but when he did, he enjoyed Jesse's warm embrace. He liked being hugged by him, it was comforting. That's all Jesse was; comforting and heroic.
"I forgive you.", Jesse smiled softly upon seeing Aiden's lips curl into a smile.
Aiden looked up, blushing before hugging Jesse even tighter than before. " I...I like you...no. Love you.", he blushed darker she feeling a pair of lips kiss his forehead. "Love ya' too, Aiden. Now let's get out of here before we get mauled."
(Eh, I'm tired.)
