Aiden was sitting against the wall, trapped in the jail cell he was sent to. Maya and Gill were in the same cell, but mourning over their lost freedom that was once there.

Aiden however, was thinking about a statement that couldn't just leave his mind. A statement that just wouldn't be coughed up to an enemy unless forced. But the person saying these very words said it with ease, no disgusted emotions, facial expression, or actions, just a smile.

'Make a new start. Try and do something good for these guys, okay Aiden?'

Jesse gave Aiden another chance, another life, another choice. He didn't hesitate, change his mind, or regret his decision. Just. A. Smile...

"What're you thinking about, Aiden?", Aiden snapped out of his thoughts, looking up at a tilted-head Maya, and an eyebrow-raised Gill.

"Oh, uh...n-nothing..", Aiden looked away, narrowing his eyes towards the right wall of the cell.

"Doesn't seem like nothing. Come on, tell us.", Gill sat down next to the hazel-haired boy.

Aiden sighed, he knew he wasn't gonna get out of this. Well, lying anyways...

"I can't believe that Jesse gave me another chance. It's just...why would he give me another chance?"

"Maybe he sought out some good in ya'. Ya' know, figured out that you couldn't stay against him for long.", Gill smiled alongside Maya.

Aiden blushed.
"I know, but...he could've done it for anyone else...not me."

"I know what's going on.", Maya sat down infront of Aiden.

"What?", said boy looked up at Maya, a sad expression planted on his face.

"You're putting yourself in self-denial. You're denying the fact that you're a good person, that there's no evil in you, and that there are people out there who love and care for you.", Maya hugged Aiden tightly.

Aiden smiled slightly, but it quickly faded when a mental image of Jesse popped up in his mind.

Gill noticed this, and sat down as well.

"What's wrong?"

"I think...that Jesse gave me another chance because he thinks of me as a friend, not an enemy. H-he actually cares about me. After all, he didn't even push me off the cliff or leave me there to perish when I t-tried to kill him...", Aiden blushed once more, but gaining the attention of Maya this time.

"Ooh~Someone has a crush~", she sang in a playful voice, smirking at Aiden.

"N-NO I DON'T!", Aiden stood up in defense, as he bit his lip and looked away.

"Are you sure~?", Gill punched Aiden lightly in the arm.

"Mm...yes?", Aiden sat back down, playing with his fingers.

"Come on- tell us the truth. We won't judge you.", Maya smiled softly.

"Ok, yes...I have a bit of a crush on him.", Aiden scratched the back of his head, smiling sheepishly.

Maya smirked widely.

"I think 'a bit' is an understatement."

"Yeah, it is. On a scale from one to ten, how much do you actually like him?", Gill stood this time, but with his hands resting on his hips.

"Uh, um.... 9?", Aiden narrowed his eyes.

Maya and Gill looked at each other, and smiled; looking back at Aiden.
