Marinette sat down on her couch.  In their livingroom.  With a warm bowl of soup her mother had made her.  To try to get her better faster.

Marinette almost drops her spoon when she sees what's on the TV.  The news to be exact.

It wasn't really the fact that a house was completely in flames.  But rather the fact that she saw Chat Noir.  Her partner.  Walk into the house that was ready to colapse any second now.

Was he crazy?  Who would do something that stupid?  Actually.  Don't answer that.  Chat would do anything to save someone's life.  Anything.

She hold her breath.  Waiting for him to exit soon.  She couldn't bring herself to look away.

"Intresting, eh?" Tom asks.  Peeking over the newspaper he's reading.

Marinette's eyes stayed glued to the screen.  Not even giving him a bit of a response.

He chuckled.  And looked back down into the paper.  Teenagers these days.

She sighs in releaf when she sees him in the door opening.  Whole.  And looked like he was unharmed.

But why wasn't he walking out?  Why was he holding up the doorway like that?  Shouldn't he leave?

Marinette let out a small gasp as the doorway faltered slightly.  Now resting on his shoulders.

A little girl with blonde hair sprinted out.  Holding a teddy bear in her arms.  And not a second too late.  As his legs give up.  And he's now down on his knees.

And before Marinette could think.  Everything dropped.  And everything fell over him.  Burrying him in some of what's left from the house.

She drops her bowl.  Spilling soup all over their floor.  And all over their rug.

"Marinette!" Her mother scolded her.

"I'm sorry!  Really, really sorry!"

Sabine sighed.  Looking at the TV screen Marinette was watching so intensely seconds ago.

"It's ok."

"Maybe you should go try to take a nap while i clean up this mess?"

Marinette nodded.  Getting out of the sofa.  Being carefull not to get her white fluffy socks wet and dirty.

"O-ok."

She felt her heart pound.  Like crazy.  Was he ok?  Would he be ok?  Was he hurt?  Badly hurt.  Did he just die?  In front of her.  On live television.

No.  She couldn't think that.  He was stronger than that.  He wasn't dead.  Pfft.  She was stupid for even thinking that.  Very stupid.  Very stupid indeed.

Once she got up to her room.  Marinette sat down in front of her computer.

"Marinette?  Shouldn't you be taking that nap?" Her Kwami asked.  Slight worry tingeling in her voice.

"Does it look like i can sleep while Chat Noir might be diying?" She unintentionally spat at her Kwami.

"R-right."

Marinette sighed.  Slouching down into her chair.  She was over reacting.  Chat wouldn't just die like that.  There was nothing to worry about.

"I'm sorry, Tikki."

"I didn't mean to yell at you.  I'm just worried."

Tikki smiled.  Sitting down on her desk.  In front of her computer.

"He's your partner and best friend.  I get it."

Ok.  Hello. (((:
