Charmaine Athena M. Faulkerson.

She's the fourth child of the then phenomenal couple Alden&Maine.

She's the only daughter and princess of her parents.

She was born when her brothers turned 3, and the family was visibly ecstatic when she came, she became their little ray of sunshine, their little bean of happiness, she was their everything.

Thus, her boys (namely her brothers and father) ESPECIALLY her father, Richard, was always protective around her. Every boys who admire her beauty would have to go through several complicated process. Every man who just give her a quick glance would not escape from the sharp hawk-like eyes of the four.

Through the process of growing up, she didn't complain for she has bestfriends, Lillian, Zia & Coby, she has a loving but an over-protective family.

But when she grew into a beautiful flower just like her mother, her life had complications, in her every actions, her father would always comment something. In every man she speaks to, her brothers would instantly tell their father and she'd be interrogated for days. In every suitors she brought at their house would have to pass a literal hell from the hands of the devils a.k.a her boys.

And that is the reason why she was pouting beside her bestfriend.

"I mean, it's so unfair, why can't they just be like anyone else? For goodness sake, I'm already 18, pero the way they act around me, it's like I'm only 5"

Charmaine huffed, crossing her arms in front of her

"Hey now, babe, shush. You know naman why are they like that to you, takot lang silang mawala ka sa kanila, you're their only princess anyway"

Lillian patted her head and wrapped her arms around her, caressing her chestnut locks but Charmaine has already enough, she threw her arms up in the air and slammed her body on Lillian's bed

"Princess my ass. Ang tanda-tanda ko na tinuturing pa rin nila akong bata, I'm legal enough to do my own decisions at pinagkakait nila sa'kin 'yung rights ko na 'yun. Hanggang ngayon, sila pa rin ang dapat na mag-decide para sa'kin"

Lillian looked at her with pity and sympathy, her parents were never like that to her although they are quite protective but not to Charmaine's boys' extent.

"It'll be okay darling. Don't worry. I'm sure kapag pinakita mo sa kanila na pwede ka nilang pagkatiwalaan, they'll give up controlling you"

"I don't know Lils, I-just, nakakapagod lang na hanggang ngayon nakabantay pa rin sila sa'kin. Lalo na si Papa, pero kanila kuya naman kahit ilan na atang girlfriend iuwi nung tatlong 'yun, wala naman siyang sinasabi. Ano bang pagkakaiba namin?"

"I don't know. Hindi sila mabubuntis?"

"And what? They thought of me like that? A scarlet woman? I'm responsible enough to know what's right and not. Akala ba nila mabubuntis ako nang maaga nang hindi pa kasal? Bakit? Mababahiran ba 'yung pangalan nila? That's hypocrisy!!! Mama was pregnant with–"

"Hey that's enough Charms! Don't speak about your parents like that. It was an accident, they were drunk when your brothers were conceived"

Lillian lay beside her, putting her hands under her head as her pillow
