Like a disastrous date

The next day I'm sure to wake up early, purely to make sure I look good and I don't blame myself. You'd want to make yourself look good when you're going out with your crush on a day trip to town! Just as I finish putting my loose-fitting white shirt on, my mum comes into the room, only poking her head around the door.
"You have guests." She says, quickly hurrying away after. I rush down the stairs, being careful not to mess up my just straightened blonde hair. A cheerful looking Mathias and two stern-looking brothers stand at the door, all lined up.
"Hey guys! How did you find my ho-" Lukas grabs my arm before I could finish while he harshly tells me to shut up.

While we walk through the streets of town, Mathias and Lukas walk in front of me and Emil.
"I thought we were meeting at the fountain." I explain to Emil, who doesn't really seem too pleased to be stuck with me at the back.
"Yeah but Mathias wanted to see you sooner." Emil answers. At the comment, a small blush brushes across my cheeks.
"He did? Why is he so close to Lukas all the time, then?" I ask. Emil goes silent for a moment as if he's hesitating.
"Housemates grow close." He concludes. I'm left to wonder what he means by that as we walk. Customers leaving shops bump into us until Emil and I eventually get separated from Lukas and Mathias.
"Crap," I utter.
"Well, it's not as if it was bound to not happen."
"What?"
"I always get lost from those two. Most of the time it's on purpose, though." Emil explains. Shrugging that off, we try and look for them, both of us calling their name but multiple people answer.
"We're never going to find them in these crowds. Do you have their numbers?"I ask Emil, who searches his pocket for his phone.
"I wish I didn't." He answers. After dialling one of the numbers, Emil stops and puts the phone to his ear, pulling me to the side to stay with him. Once he's finished talking on the phone (with a few rather...colourful insults) we agree to meet them after an hour.

"Well this is like a tragic date, huh?" I say with a chuckle before sipping the sweet juices of my smoothie. Emil and I decided to wait out the hour at a cafe and just...talk. Like friends do. But on one condition: we don't consider ourselves friends. Unfortunately, I actually want to be friends with Emil.
"I suppose but I've never been on one." At his answer, I spit out my smoothie.
"You've never been on a date!?" I yell, looking at the confusion on the boys face.
"No I've never been on a tragic date" He corrects me, sassily drinking his smoothie at his smartass remark.
"Well woop-de-doo for you!" I sarcastically reply.
"What about you?" He starts, looking over at me. "Have you ever been on a date?" His voice sounds like it'a warming up to me as he starts small talk.
"No. I always told myself to stay out of love. It's stupid, you know?" I ask him and he nods in reply, not really saying anything but "for once, I agree with you". We sink into a silence, not really knowing what to say next.
"I feel bad for you," He eventually states.
"Well thanks." I sarcastically reply.
"No I feel bad because you've never been on a date."
"Oh big deal! Loads of people haven't been on a date, get over it!" I exclaim in frustration. Maybe he is beginning to show his soft side to me, but I wouldn't know until it's in full swing. Emil stands up with an outstretched hand reaching to me, a confident yet serious expression on his face.
"But I'm not allowing that; I am asking you now to shut up and come on a date with me!" All the other customers look over at us causing a scene but I'm too distracted to even be embarrassed.
"Emil-"
"Great! Let's go!" He drags me out of the chair and back into the streets. The breeze flows smoothly through his platinum blond hair which looks exactly like his brother's, which reminds me.
"What about Mathias and Lukas?" I ask as we rush through the streets, Emil in front of me leading the way. His hand is warm as it holds mine. Even though he's rushing us through the streets faster than, I'm sure, any car could go in these streets, his grip is so soft. He knows I like Mathias so why is he doing this?
"They'll be a while, I'm sure."
"We only have half an hour!" I protest but Emil hears none of it.
"Well I suppose we'll have to take half an hour, won't we."
"You know I like Mathias!" I retort and just like before, he takes none of it.
"Yes I know but..." He trails, off before giving up and continuing to go through the streets. After a while, I tug on his arm and we stop, I stare into his shining blue eyes.
"Look, Emil, I don't know what you're playing at but what are you hiding?" I ask, not completely dumb and oblivious to the fact there is something he's trying to cover up. All three of them do as far as I'm concerned.
"I just want to show you what it's like." He seems shy now. This whole trip has been him on a roller coaster of emotions! He's on his male period, literally!
"I'll know what it's like when the time comes." I argue back, instantly feeling sorry. "Look, Emil, I just-"
"I know you like Mathias but I want to show you what it's like, Kaia, please!" He practically begs now, his eyes glinting in the sun.
"Will you let me take you on a date?" Both of his hands encase mine, keeping them warm. How could I turn down that face? That beg?
"Yes," I answer. "I suppose you can."
