"You're not scared, are you?" Karma teases as we begin to walk to class. Mila, after being insulted many times by her partner, rushes ahead of us, her hands curled into us with rage.
"Well I'm only distracting him; it's you who should be scared."
"Of course." Is all he replies with. We enter the class just in time for homeroom and there Lukas is, glaring at us three together probably wondering why I'm with them and not killed by them.
"What's the plan?" I ask, all three of us grouping, yet trying not to look suspicious. The two pause. "I can't exactly distract him during homeroom." I state, not knowing how to distract him when we can't go anywhere. I notice all their eyes on me. Ella, Emil, Mathias and Lukas...just watching me.
"You're right," Mila agrees. "I've got an idea." Mila leaves Karma and me to wonder where she's gone but when she returns, she's got two piles of stacked paper.
"Ask Lukas to take this with you to the office. When he leaves, we'll creep in and get the knife." I nod my head in acknowledgement before obeying her orders by taking one stack to Lukas, telling him to come with me. Strangely, he abides without any hesitation. The school hallway is empty as we walk, the only sound is our footsteps landing on the marble. After all, this is Mika Academy. Before we left, Mila gave me a special phone that allows her to contact me if we ever come across a problem and apparently, that moment is now. I hand a stack to Lukas for him to temporarily take.
"Red alert! He's taken the knife with him!" Mila yells into the device. I can't help but let out a small gasp.
"Does that mean I have to do it?" I ask but I get no answer. I turn back to Lukas, dread and worry and all kinds of different emotions flooding me. As quick as a flash, he launches towards me and the only thing I see is the sun glinting briefly on metal before everything goes black.
