"L-L-L-L" I can barely stutter out the name but when Karma said it...he said it so smoothly. "Lukas?!"
"Indeed."Of course...Lukas must really hate me for confessing my love to Mathias but he didn't have to go this far!
"What're you going to do to me?" I ask, shutting my eyes and focusing on the warm tickling feeling of my tears running down my cheek before falling off my chin.
"Simple," faster than you could say banoffee pie, he whips out a pistol and placed it against my forehead, the cold metal strangely making me sweat. I gasp a small gasp and for some reason my tears stop and my head drops slightly.
"Do it," I murmur in a low voice. "I dare you." He seems surprised but he puts the gun away, popping it back into the holster on the belt around his waist. "I knew you wouldn't," I look up slightly, my eyes piercing his as a sick smile I never knew I had crawls across my face. "You're just a coward." At that moment, Mila enters the room.
"Miss Jackson, if I may ask why did Lukas ask for you to be killed?" They stand beside each other, looking like a perfect team.
"Simple," I chuckle. "I confessed my love to his boyfriend without even realising they were gay. No one told me but it seemed everyone knew somehow!" Mila seems to hesitate before gasping and turning to Karma.
"That means you won that stupid bet oh god!" She runs out the room and Karma snickers, his attention snapping back to me.
"Well, we can't exactly kill you, as much as I don't mind doing it, because you're innocent." He says. My eyebrows furrow and I sulk at his comment. Not because he's not killing me but because he just admitted he technically wanted to.
"But you can't really return to school." He runs a hand through his hair and turns to leave but I call out.
"Well what do I do? Run away?"
"That would be wise," he starts and he walks over, unlocking each one of my chains one by one until I'm completely free.
"Don't stop running until the sun comes up, Kaia."And just like that, I'm a runaway.
