I went to my favourite frozen yogurt place, Icy, with Tyler after school. We hadn't had much time to bond with him always being with Karen and me always being with Joseph but when he asked me if I wanted to go to Icy I couldn't resist. I ordered a strawberry swirl fro-yo and he ordered a simple vanilla. We sat at a table by the window and ate our yogurt.
At first it was quite awkward but we soon fell into a deep conversation on our likes, preferences and school. It turned out we had a lot in common seeing as we hated the same teachers especially, Mr Clerk, the Physical Education teacher who made you jog around the school in less than five minutes if you took more than two minutes to change. We both loved grand theft and I invited him over to play sometime with me and Tyrell in the attic. Spending time with Tyler at Icy was amazing we made plans to go together the last Friday of each month.
We decided to go to an arcade after where we raced, battled and worked together to beat the enemies. "We make a good team," he said giving me a high five after playing call of duty. "We sure do!" I replied smiling. It was nearing six o'clock so we grabbed pizza slices and a drink from the fast food area in the arcade and headed home.~~~~~~~~***~~~~~~~~
I woke up the next morning smiling to myself and messaged Tyler.
Hey. Icy and the arcade yesterday was fun we should hang out more often.
My phone buzzed a few minutes later but it wasn't Tyler.
Y would u go on a date with my boyfriend you backstabbing little bitch!
It was Karen! What the hell was going on? I didn't go on a date with Tyler we just hung out as friends.
Karen! How could u say that?! I didn't go on a date with Tyler we just went to Icy and to an arcade as friends. Entirely friends. You know I have feelings for Joseph.
I don't care. It was u and Tyler alone so it was a date! Back away from my boyfriend! Got it!
He's just a friend Karen. I thought u knew this! We're all friends and its just I haven't gotten time to get to know Tyler in a platonic way. Not that I like him in a romantic way. Please.
