I walked through the school doors Monday morning ready for anything Karen had to say to me. I glanced at Joseph's locker and no one was there. I glanced at Tyler's locker, no one. I began to breathe but when I began to near at my locker I froze. Stephanie and her clique were standing practically in front my locker and in the mist of them stood Karen. I took a deep breath and clenched my fist and began walking towards them.
"Excuse me," I said as sweetly and politely as possible. They ignored me even though I swear Karen gave me a stink look from the corner of her eye. "Excuse me!" I said louder this time. "No excuse me! I'm trying to have a conversation with my girls here and you're interrupting!" Stephanie said. Was this girl for real?! "But you're- " she cut me off. "Let me finish! You're so rude! I know you're practically dying to be me and all but you'll never be me because I'm fabulous and I don't steal people's boyfriends." I was lost for words. Here I was preparing to have an argument with Karen when she was hiding behind Stephanie. Wow.
"Ok. Let's get something straight. I haven't stolen anyone's boyfriend, you're blocking me from getting to my locker because in case you haven't realised you and your clique are standing in front of it, I'd never wanna be you because you're a stuck up, selfish, snobby bitch and also," I said as I turned to Karen. "If you have something to say come and say it to my face and stop gossiping and spreading lies about me to dangerous, sneaky girls like her."
  They all stared at me and I pushed my way through the crowd to my locker stepping on a few toes on the way. " I don't know who you think you are Mia Turner but NO ONE speaks to me like that," Stephanie said turning on her heels and walking away. "Maybe it's time someone did!" I yell back and she threw daggers at me with her eyes.  
The bell rang and since it was Monday that meant biology first period. When I arrived Joseph was already at our bench drawing. "Hey," I said dropping my bag and I glanced over at his book to see what he was drawing. It was a puppy. Cute. He looked up and smiled at me. Butterflies fluttered in my stomach and I sat next to him. "Is that your puppy?" I asked. "Yeah. Well actually one of them my dog just gave birth to four puppies but we're giving away three," he replied. "That's sad," I said. "I could give you one," he said excitedly and I smiled. "I'd love that! What colors are there?" As he told me the colors I looked at his lips. I had kissed those lips three times now and they always felt the same. Soft, smooth and moist. "I can bring it over Saturday or Sunday," he said. I nodded. I had lost focus of what he was saying and all that flashed through my mind was kissing him over and over again. Joseph had noticed this so he just stared at me, right in my eyes. I sighed internally as we stared at each other. It felt like no one else was around, just the two of us in the lab.
Our teacher came in breaking the connection and I took my notebook, textbook and pencil case out of my bag. We drew and learnt about the nervous system. Every once in a while I took a glance at Joseph and he would glance back. Why won't he ask me out already?!
We left class together walking side by side. "I'll see you at lunch I guess," he said. He seemed a little flustered. Probably from all the staring and smiling. I got on my tiptoes and kissed his cheek. "Yeah I'll see at you lunch," I said before I headed to English class with Karen. Ugh.
I walked into the English room and thankfully Karen had decided to move. I sat at my regular seat not glancing back at her once.

"Hey," I said as I dropped my school bag on the bench and sat next to Tyler. "Hey Mia," they all said in unison. "Is Karen at school today?" Jessica asked. I gulped. No one knew what happened over the weekend except me, Tyler and possibly Stephanie and her crew. "Yeah she's at school I saw her maths," Matt said. "Where is she?!" Jessica said getting restless like she was itching to gossip with her. "Probably with Stephanie and her friends. I saw them today walking around and laughing together this morning," the guy with the curly hair said. "And tell me Michael why on earth would she be with girls she hates?" Jessica asked. Tyler and I kept our mouths shut and continued tho eat our lunch and Joseph played a game, clearly uninterested in the whole situation.
Jessica looked to Tyler, "she's your girlfriend where is she and why." Tyler shrugged. "I'm her boyfriend but we didn't implant GPS devices in ourselves so we can find each other. Karen's just upset because me and Mia went to Icy and an arcade together." Everyone looked from me to Tyler and I felt Joseph's gaze on me. "It's just a friend thing of course and us just getting to know each other but she insisted it was a date and now she isn't speaking to Mia," he continued.
"Drama," Matt said.
"Well it does seem a little bit like a date," Jessica said. "Yeah. Just the two of you and no one else knowing," Joseph said. He was jealous. "It wasn't a date. I went to Icy many times with guys back in Manhattan as a hang out, friend thing," I defended. "It's not like we went to a fancy restaurant in nice clothes. We went right after school," Tyler said. "I guess you have a point," Jessica said. "Thank you!" I exclaimed. Someone finally understood. "Could've still told me," Joseph whispered. "Sorry," I replied placing my head on his shoulder. He snaked his arm around my waist and pulled me closer. They all gave us curious looks till eventually Michael asked. "Are you two together?" I lifted my head from his shoulder and he dropped his arm. "No," we said in unison and they looked at each other before continuing the conversation.

"Wait Mia!" Joseph called after the bell rang for the end of lunch and I had began to walk away. I turned around and he walked towards me with his bag slung over one shoulder and his hands in his pockets. Everyone had gone and it was just the two of us. "Well since you had plans this weekend with your brother and the week before you had the house warming party I still haven't gotten that date I asked you to go with me," he said smirking. I smiled. "You're right. So? What are you saying Joseph?" I asked. He smiled. I knew what he meant and we both knew that. "So will you on a date with me?" He asked. "Where?" I asked as we walked to class. "It's a surprise," he said smiling. "How will I know what to wear?" I asked. "Just put on nice shirt and jeans or a dress. Bring your bathing suit," he said and walked away. "Bathing suit?"

Yay! Joseph and Mia are finally happening! New chapter. Bathing suit? Could they be going to the beach? Hmm. New chapter soon!
