Episode 2: Apollo Mission - Part 1
"Nighttime over Athens, the ancient world slumbers. But then the inky blackness of night gives away the golden mourn."
A chariot flew across the sky; the chained sun in the back was changing the night into morning.
"Apollo pulls his magnificent sun chariot across the sky. Bringing with it is the start of another day. Another step for-"
"You're killing me with this jibber-jabber!" The image of Athens was cut in half by scissors, stopping the story entirely by Thalia. "What's your name, baby?" she asked the voice.
"I'm the narrator," he replied.
The muse rolled her eyes, "Oh, come on! What's your name?"
"...Bob."
"That's better," Terpsichore wrapped her arm around Thalia, approving the invisible narrator's answer with a smile. The other muses entered the picture. "Now, Bob, the name of this story is Hercules and the Modern Girl, right?" she asked, opening the snipped scroll to briefly reveal the title.
"Um... yes," Bob answered.
"Then why are you talking about mankind?" Melpomene asked. "We want to hear why this day is important to the stars of the show!"
"Oh well."
"Yeah!" Thalia agreed with her sisters. "And speaking of the stars, let's see what they're up to..." For that, she rolled the scroll at the readers, resuming the story...

"Nat-tie."
The girl groaned, hearing her name being called, assuming it was her brothers trying to wake her up for a Saturday morning game or something. They were interrupting her surprisingly long nightmare about falling into Disney Greece, facing a two-head monster, and sealing a deal with a devil - not just any devil - Hades. The worst part about the whole thing was that she had to sacrifice her summer break for another year in school.
"Wake up, Nattie. Get up." Her body was forced to rock from side to side when she didn't respond. "Wake up, sleeping mortal."
"No," Nattie rolled onto her stomach and placed a pillow over her head, not comprehending the reality of her situation.
"Don't make us get the boss," the whisper was getting louder and threatening. The boss? Did they mean Mom?
"Go ahead," she groaned underneath, "I don't care." She hummed in contentment, allowing her body to relax while her mind drifted back into a deep sleep.
Suddenly, she felt the empty cool air against her face. Her pillow had been removed from her head, replacing it with a cold, wet sensation splashing over her. Nattie screamed, jumping up from her bed and flapping her arms, "What the hell?!"
The girl rubbed the sleep from her eyes to clearly see her skin, clothes, and hair soaking wet, along with the navy sheets. The cold water created goosebumps on her shivering limbs. Looking at her surroundings, her new room was bigger and had a more comfortable bed than her old bedroom back home. The mattress was like a soft cloud when she first laid down. As soon as her head hit the pillow, she was out like a light. The walls weren't red but stone grey to match the gloomy Underworld theme. She took note to brighten the room with a different color paint.
Back to the matter at hand, she faced the people responsible for waking her up in a cruel way. Unfortunately, her human brothers turned out to be the imps.
