Big Kiss - Part 2

Hercules and Nattie stood there in shock, their mouths opened, and their eyes widened. They couldn't believe what Cassandra had said and done.

"Cassandra," Nattie found her voice. "I think we heard you wrong."

"Yeah!" Hercules agreed. "We thought you said Hades is going to help you." The two started laughing, agreeing on how messed up that would be and how Cassandra was smart enough not to do that.

"I did," Cassandra confirmed. The laughter immediately faded after realizing that the seer was serious.

"Okay!" Nattie shouted, pointing angrily at her best friend. "What the hell happened in the bathroom?!"

"Well," Cassandra began her tale, folding her arms, "after puking my guts out, I was ready to ditch the kissing booth and Greece altogether until Hades showed up and made me an offer I can't refuse."

"Oh, no!" Hercules grasped his red curls. "Please, tell me you didn't see your soul to him!"

"No, I didn't." Her friends' relief lasted momentarily. "I sold my after-school-and-weekends soul to him."

"What?!" they screamed in unison.

"Oh, wow!" Nattie bitterly laughed, slapping her hands against her sides, "After school and weekends! I guess everything is okay now since you're smart enough not to sell your entire soul to him!" Cassandra rolled her eyes at the sarcasm.

"You sold your after-school-and-weekends soul to Hades?!" Hercules repeated the same question to ensure he heard it right. "What were you thinking?!"

"I was thinking about Icarus's puckered lips," Cassandra snarled in disgust, folding her arms, "and how my friend Hercules wasn't doing anything to stop him!" Just as she was about to leave and ignore Hercules's call, Nattie stepped in her way, refusing to budge when Cassandra asked her to move.

"Look, Cassandra," Nattie, once again, attempted to talk some sense into her best friend with a softer approach this time. "You have your whole life ahead of you. It might not feel that way right now, but one innocent kiss isn't gonna be so bad!" Cassandra didn't like her words one bit. She stepped to the side only for Nattie to grab her shoulders, forcing Cassandra to look straight at her. "But if you work for Hades - trust me - you will regret it!"

Cassandra scoffed, "Puh-lease. If you were in my position, Nattie, you would've done the same thing." The voice in the back of Nattie's head agreed with her. If only Cassandra knew that it had already happened. Although, the circumstances beyond their contracts were completely separate. Nattie sealed the deal to survive, while Cassandra did it for a petty reason. Simple as that.

"Cassandra-"

"It's too late, Nat! We sealed the deal - it's done!" Cassandra stomped past her, aggressively slamming her shoulder with hers. "Just leave me alone, please!"

"Cassandra, wait!" Hercules called, but Cassandra ignored him. Nattie was so enraged; she hit Hercules's bicep. "Ow!" he protested, rubbing his arm, "Why was that for?!"

"You idiot! If you hadn't mentioned the kiss to Icarus, Cassandra wouldn't have made the biggest mistake of her life!" She was about to hit him again, but Hercules grabbed her arm.

"Nattie, calm down!" he begged.

"Don't tell me to calm down! I'm speechless!" she opened her arms helplessly.

"Are you really?"

Nattie groaned in frustration, gripping her locks while squeezing her eyes briefly, "I mean, I know I'm not speechless because I have a lot more to say. Only there's nothing more to say, except I'm still talking! Ah!" She was tempted to rip her hair out but took deep breaths to calm down.
