Aiden's POV
Staring at the beautiful woman beside me, I couldn't help but feel happy even though I was slightly lying to her. Maybe I told a few tiny lies here and there but it's for her and Raigh-lee's safety. The less she knows, the better.
"So, umm...I hate to ask this but could I stay a little bit longer with you until I can find a new home?" Natalie questioned after hesitating for a moment before looking up at me as I nodded.
"Of course! My home is always open for you and Raigh-lee." I smiled as something sparked within those dark blue eyes before it quickly disappeared. Slowly looking back down at her food, I noticed the corners of her lips curl upwards. For some odd reason, I always find joy in this woman. Whenever she smiles it stirs something within me. Something that I can't quite pinpoint.
"So, that's all settled. Now, what about you three?" Lucy questioned while looking at Natalie's mother as she quietly sipped at her tea before glancing over at Natalie and I with a smile upon her lips. "I know that look. You three can stay with me. My house has enough rooms for all of us, so those suitcases that you got stowed away somewhere near, you can just leave them in your rooms. Get as comfortable as you need to." Lucy stated with a smile similar to Nat's mother's plastered on her face.
"Oh, but Lucy we don't want to impose on you and your family. I mean, I'm quite sure Aiden has some room at his place, right?" She questioned while meeting my eyes as I smiled. Just before I could reply back to her Natalie interrupted.
"Mom, we'll be fine. I might have lost all of our possessions and some important documents but I haven't completely lost my common sense. I know what you're doing but you also have to realize that Aiden isn't like that and I am an independent woman. I promise that I'll be okay." She stated while looking up from her plate as her and her mother stared each other down before her mother looked away with a sigh of defeat.
"Okay. Okay. I guess you're right but if anything happens, calling me better be at least on your top five list of things to do." She playfully teased as Natalie nodded before standing. "If you're going to the kitchen, I'll join. I need some more of this delicious tea." She added as her and Natalie disappeared out of the living room before Lucy turned her gaze to me.
"Don't fuck this up. You keep her happy tomorrow while we arrange everything. It won't be finished by the time you bring her to come see it but it'll be a giant work in progress. So, if anything goes wrong or you fuck up tomorrow, call me as soon as possible." She whispered sternly as I continued eating my stir fry.
"Right, ASAP. I got it. Anything else, mother?" I asked while looking up at her as she glared at me. "Yeah. Yeah. I know. Keep my dirty mitts to my fucking self or you'll cut them off and send them to mom. Devious little thing, aren't you? It makes it even worse that mom's okay with you sending her my hands. This family is too fucked up as it is." I whispered as the toddlers immediately turned their attention towards us.
"That just how us Sampsons are, but I'm only warning you ahead of time because her family is sketchy about new men coming into her life after what Raigh-lee's father had done to her. It took us all awhile to pull her out of that dark haze, so don't be the reason for her resurface." Lucy growled as I stared at her quietly before nodding while placing the plate on the coffee table. I knew something was wrong but I didn't know that it was this bad. She doesn't even look like she's hurting, but as they say, the ones who smile the most are hurting the worst on the inside.

Quietly staring at the TV, I watched as the characters played on the screen...or were they dancing. I wasn't paying attention. My main attention was on the woman sitting next to me, wearing my shirt, with the tired toddler on her lap. Oh god. With her remaining clothes in the washer, she had nothing else to wear except for a pair of underwear with a matching bra, so what would giving her a shirt do?
Make a man extra horny.
I really tried not to notice but with the thin material of my shirt quilting her body, I couldn't help but sneak a few glances. Her bottom looked round and plump just like her breasts. She was just the right size whether she knew it or not. This woman was doing things to me without even knowing.
"Aiden? Are you sure you're okay with this? You don't look too well." Natalie stated quietly as I turned and looked at her while smiling. Oh god, I have to get out of here before I embarrass myself. Quickly nodding, I stood before she joined me. "I know I might have said this a few times but thank you for everything. I once thought that Lucy was the only nice person left in New York but I was wrong. We might have started off on the wrong foot but I'm still glad I got to meet you. Again, thank you." She added while kissing my cheek before turning towards the hallways. "What time do I need to be up in the morning?" She asked as I gently touched the cheek that she kissed.
"Umm...I'm going to swing by the office in the morning, so maybe ten thirty in the morning? That way, you'll have enough time to rest from this emotional rollercoaster." I smiled as she stayed with her back to me while swaying the tired toddler to sleep.
"Okay, thank you. Goodnight, Aiden." She whispered as she walked off towards the hallway, unconsciously sashaying her hips while I kept my eyes on the walls beside her.
"Goodnight, ladies." I quietly stated while losing against my urges as I glanced down at her butt before she disappeared out of sight.
Oh God, give me strength. Tomorrow. Tomorrow will be as unpredictable as today.
///////\\\\\\\//////
Heyo! I know. I know. I'm late on updates. Like very late. I try to at least update at least once every week, but these last few weeks have been tiring.
Next week will be worse because of midterms on Tuesday and Wednesday.
But since I've left you all waiting for a new chapter, I've decided to try to update twice a week or as many time as my brain will allow me. So, if you see this book updated three times in one week (HOPEFULLY LIFE WILL CALM DOWN), than know that I will most likely be doing it late at night for that's the only time that I have free.
*sighs*
Okay, I'm done with my little message. Its 10:52 PM (Eastern Time) now. Lord help me.
Vote, comment, and enjoy!~
