Chapter 30

Aiden's POV
Later~

"You look so dorky right now." Julian stated while Valentina and Lucy finished up the final touches of a tuxedo they were working on for a show. Glaring towards my brother, I took a deep breath remembering what my parents had told me.

"Shouldn't you be in school or something? It's annoying for you to be around." I stated as he simply rolled his eyes while leaning back on the bed. "What is this for anyway?" I inquired while glancing down at my twin and my girlfriend's sister as they quietly stitched up certain spots on the tuxedo.

"Like I've been telling you for a whole solid hour now, it's for a show that's coming up soon. It just so happened that our model fits your physique. Now, hold still or we might accidentally poke you." Lucy urged while sewing up the hems. "It shouldn't be much longer." She stated while Valentina quickly checked her phone before nodding towards Lucy as they quickly finished up the final touches, like they said they were doing two hours ago.

"Perfecto! It is done. Why don't you wear it around for a little bit? You can tell us if we need to adjust anything." Valentina stated as I stepped down from the display and walked around a little. "Good, good. Why don't you take it for a few hours and see how it does with your normal day activities?" She added as I turned around to meet their gazes. They were up to something.

"No, I think this is fine as it is. It'll do well for your upcoming show, yes?" I questioned while about to take off the jacket before Lucy grabbed my arm in a hurried manner. "What? Why are you making that face?" I asked as she looked a little scared.

"I just got a text from Nat. Something's wrong. You need to hurry up and get home." She stated as Valentina looked at her like she was crazy. "Well don't just stand there, go see what's wrong while I call David and get him home." She stated while hurriedly pushing me out her front door with my jacket and my car keys. "You can return the suit after you see what's wrong with Natalie." She added while slamming the door in my face as I hurried to my car. Quickly getting in, I phoned Natalie as I turned the vehicle on but I didn't get any response.

"Damn. I hope you're okay, Natalie." I quietly stated to myself while speeding out of the driveway. Hopefully, that bastard isn't there because I'll kill him myself. Concentrating back on the road, I ditched and dodged through traffic while barely making the lights. I was going to get home one way or another.

Natalie's POV

Quietly blowing out the match, I stood back and admired my masterpiece. A nice candlelit dinner prepared by yours truly with some red wine that I got from Valentina when she came back. Sighing gently, I walked back into the kitchen to check up on dinner when the front door of the apartment flew open.

"Natalie! Natalie!!" The panic stricken voice called as I quietly peeped my head around the corner to look at the man that I've been waiting on. Upon seeing me, he rushed into the kitchen and swept me up in his arms. "Are you okay? Did that bastard touch you?!" He asked while holding me close as he looked around at his surroundings cautiously. "Natalie?"

"Aiden?" I questioned while looking up at him as he stared back down at me with those beautiful golden brown eyes. "If you're talking about William, he's not here." I informed while hugging his waist as he sighed.

"But, I called your phone a few times and it went straight to voicemail. I thought that bastard got a hold of you." He stated while pulling me closer as he buried his head into my neck. "I was ready to go the mile." He whispered as I quietly stroked his hair.

"There's no need to, darling. He won't be a bother and I don't want to lose you to something that's preventable. I'm also sorry that I didn't answer my cell phone, I'm not even sure where I left it." I apologized while quietly laughing as Aiden pulled back and looked at me.

"I'm just relieved that you're okay." He stated while gently pressing a kiss to my forehead before looking around at the clean kitchen. "Did you cook?" He questioned as I quietly nodded while guiding him to the table outside. "Candlelit dinner underneath the stars?" He questioned while looking around.

"Yep, tonight's a good night. I thought we should make some use of the balcony." I stated with a smile as he returned one. "Could you help me with the food?" I added as he nodded before hurrying back to the kitchen to help me with the plates. After we made our plates and played around in the kitchen for a little bit, we quietly made our way out to the balcony.

"This is beautiful, Nat." He stated while quietly digging into his chicken risotto as I nodded in agreement. "What's the occasion?" He inquired after a few seconds of silence as my mind stumbled to make up the words that I had been practicing all day.

"Uh...how's the food? My nonna taught me how to make it before I went off to college because she fret that I was going to eat too much junk food or something silly. Has your grandmother or mother ever did something like that to you? Mine were keen on teaching me the basics of cooking along with some family recipes." I stated while fidgeting with my fingers as Aiden quietly smiled at me before stretching his hand across the table to firmly grasp mine.

"It's okay, Natalie. You don't have to be nervous, just take a deep breath and tell me what's making you so nervous. You know I'm here for you." He stated calmly as I looked down at our hands before looking back up at him.

"I didn't know how to ask you or when I should ask you but this has been on my mind for awhile now." I stated while staring at him as he nodded to continue on. "For these past few months, I've been through hell and heaven with you and I just can't see Raigh-lee and me without you." I stated while quietly laughing at myself. "It sounds like I'm proposing to you, but I guess I kind of am. Aiden, will you move in with us whenever the house is finished?"

"Yes. It wouldn't be the same without you and Raigh-lee if I stayed here." He stated while kissing my hand before leaning across the table to kiss me. "And next time, I'll be the one proposing." He whispered softly while kissing me again.

Heyo lovelies!

I am a wreck! This chapter is a wreck! But, it's an update after....a very long period of time. I'm sorry for the well overdue update of this book.

I've been currently going through renovations on the apartment complex where I stay with my grandmother (does that even make sense?) and I've started college...early....during the summer (SOS). So, between impending school work and no sleep because of the construction workers banging on the door at 6 am, I've been catching up on sleep while I can. But, you really didn't come to hear about me, you came for the long awaited update.

Most of you are going to skip it anyway but I hope you all are having a wonderful summer so far. Sorry for the...messed up (?)....chapter, I've been stuck.

Andrea~
