Ravenna

It had been 2 weeks since training started and Ravenna felt on top of the world. She could now heal people with ease and didn't even have to drain all her energy and she could see people's life forces now. Somehow she knew that her mother's and Amberley's would be very unpleasant to looks at. She'd spent ages reading the history of the kingdom after Adrian had gone back to the old house and brought her a bunch of books notably, The History of Corona and some Jane Austen books. Every day, she liked him a little more. Whether it was the small things like picking roses for the garden they'd planned outside the cottage or big things like learning how to cook her favourite dish for her, he'd been perfect. After she'd cured him, they'd begun to flirt more often and he'd shown that he was smart, funny and sweet, just as before. He was still clumsy and awkward at times but she liked that because it meant he wasn't perfect, just perfect for her. A week ago, he'd taken her on a date and it had been incrediby fun.

"So... what do you think?"

"It's beautiful. How'd you do it?"

"I asked Ella for help with the plants and then me and Logan built the table and chairs together"

"Teamwork. Nice"

"Not as nice as you"

She blushed and smiled.

"That was cheesy... but I liked it"

"Great then"

He pulled out her chair and went to pull his own out. He tripped on the way and when he got up, he had grass in his hair.

"You have grass in your hair..."

"I do?"

He frantically ruffled his hair, and it looked all messy.

"Now it looks messy and you didn't get the grass out. Come here"

She'd picked the grass out before combing through his hair. He sat down and they started talking.

"So, you made my favourite - pasta"

"I had to learn from Ella. She used to be a chef's assistant, you know?"

"Yeah, she's great and I love how you did all this for me"

"You brought me back from the dead so this is not that big"

"No, it is. Don't sell yourself short"

"So how far are you with the books?"

They'd discussed books, poetry, gardening, plays and more during the time they ate and when they went to bed, he quickly gave her a kiss on the cheek as she grinned happily for the rest of the night.

After that, they'd pretty much gone everywhere together, holding hands and talking. When she had training, he'd be waiting for her afterwards to congratulate her or comfort her if something went wrong and she'd be there for his swordfighting sessions. Ravenna couldn't be happier. In fact, she was beginning to wonder if she'd fallen in love with him.

"Ravenna?"

"Yes Ella?"

"What did you find out about our history?"

"They were right, we do look like Charles and Aurelia. Come here"

Ella had sat on the bed as Ravenna reached down and pulled out the history book. She cracked it open to the page she'd bookmarked and pointed at their pictures.
