There were big floods of trees surrounded around them. They walked down the open road with fear in their mind. Sonakshi didn't move an inch away from Dev and was still worried about everything. How they were going to get back to the hotel safely it wasn't Mumbai where they could find a place easily they had been here a couple of days and just got used to the surroundings near the hotel. This was a completely different area where they had never been. Sonakshi cursed the driver who left the alone. She was upset but didn't want to put Dev down as he was trying to find a way round too it wasn't his fault. She cuddled up to Dev's shoulder and he smiled down at her "Sonakshi don't worry I'm sure we will find someone" But they didn't know that after 8pm no one came down this road EVER. Owls and birds tooted in the background and howling increased as they got down the road. Dev began to get tense as he shivered at the thought of animals around them. As they walked down the path lights started to shine and there was some light on this bewildered road. You could clearly see that Sonakshi was extremely scared. Weird thoughts ran through her mind as she stepped along with Dev. They reached a dead end road and there was a big jungle ahead of them. Sonakshi hid behind Dev and grabbed his shirt feeling helpless, tense and scared. She had never been near a jungle ever. She gripped Dev tightly and Dev felt her closeness. "What's wrong Sonakshi?" Dev was very quiet. "Dev I'm scared, please do something?" Dev held Sonakshi's hands and hugged her tightly. "Look Sonakshi we are going to have to go inside the forest to get out we are lost and I remember from the drive that the driver was around here  and we are walking so we have to go, please don't get scared Sonakshi I'm here with you no one will even be able to touch you trust me" he kissed her forehead and hugged her again tightly. Dev walked forward like a man making sure Sonakshi was by his side at every step. They walked through bushes and it was pitch black there was no way that they could see where they were walking. Sonakshi tripped and Dev grabbed her quickly. Her heart skipped a beat. They carried on throughout the forest and the howling became clearer as they walked ahead. All of a sudden rain started to fall and it fell on their heads from the bushes, Sonakshi shook at this sudden shock "Dev it's raining what do we do now? It shouldn't be raining now?" Sonakshi was getting even more edgy. Dev continued to walk ahead with no fear when there was a big bridge that they had to cross. It was a good job there was dim lights that they had to cross it somehow as there were cracks and missing panels that they had to cross. There was a big river flowing underneath it. Dev and Sonakshi gulped silently and a trembling fear ran through Sonakshi's mind. She spoke "Dev let's go back, how are we going to cross this bridge now it's too dark? What if we fall off?" Sonakshi dragged Dev back in the opposite direction. "Sonakshi don't worry I will help you and this is the only way, nothing will happen. Don't you trust me?" Dev looked at Sonakshi.
"Dev but... Dev you know that I trust you more than myself!" She finally agreed and Dev stepped on the bridge. He held Sonakshi's hands tightly and he walked backwards. He didn't have fear of falling as long as Sonakshi got through safely. He could do anything for her. He slowly walked backwards and Sonakshi was more scared for him than he was for himself. He looked into her eyes intently forgetting that he was crossing a dangerous bridge and his foot got stuck in a panel and he nearly fell backwards "Dev!!"  Sonakshi shouted loudly and grabbed Dev's hand with hers otherwise he would have fallen off the bridge. "Dev let's go back, what if something would have happened to you?!" Sonakshi became more anxious. Dev shook his head "Khargosh, don't worry I'm fine I'll be more careful don't worry were nearly there!"  Sonakshi agreed feeling worried still. Dev decided to keep Sonakshi in front so he could see the path ahead and also make sure Sonakshi is safe. He kept his hands on her shoulders and they slowly treaded ahead. They reached the end of the bridge, to find little huts. They were like huts that you found in deserted places that were untouched. The rain started again and it was heavy. "Shit, why does it always rain at the wrong time?" Dev cursed the skies for raining when they were outdoors. He grabbed Sonakshi and took her to shelter. They stood under the hut but were still getting drips. Sonakshi was getting hit by the rain and Dev pulled her to safety. On his chest, she felt his breath contract onto her cheek and she smiled a little. Drips of water were on both of their faces and they shared a beautiful eye lock. Dev cupped Sonakshi's face into his hands and she felt the warm trickle down her face. He slowly wiped away the rain drops on her face and she lay on his chest. "Dev do you remember, once we were dancing in the rain at night, and the next day we woke up sick? You had to drink Turmeric Milk!" Sonakshi laughed her hearts content. Dev had a big smile on his face and he kissed her head. They had a tight hug and then they heard the beats of drums. "Sonakshi can you hear that?" Dum Dudum there was noises of drums being played and smells of a bonfire were triggering Sonakshi and Dev's noses. The rain had slowed down and they decided to walk ahead to see what was there. They walked out hand in hand and they wanted to discover what was happening. They smiled and they discovered what was there. There was a huge bonfire with Africans playing the drums and African women dancing along they seemed to be enjoying themselves and they were in full mood of a party. Dev and Sonakshi smiled at each other. They walked up and wanted to join in and learn about what they are doing. The men and women stopped and stared at them looking them up and down. They looked at each other and pulled random faces. Dev spoke "Hello, we are tourists from India and we are lost and can't get back to our hotel, we have trenched through the forests to find all of you here please can we join you?!" Dev asked politely. There was an awkward silence. "Oh wow! Welcome, welcome come sit down with us we are all your friends!" the man welcomed them both to sit down on the chairs. They smiled at each other and they started playing the instruments and dancing again. "Here my friend you play drums with us and your wife can dance with the women" Dev looked at Sonakshi and he started playing the drums. The women stood Sonakshi up to dance with them and she stood up with great difficulty she was happy and they both gazed into each other's eyes. They all sat down after a while of dancing and playing the drums. They all were talking in their Mauritian Creole the native language.  "We are a small minority of Africans, there are mainly Asians like you and your wife they are lovely people!" Dev nodded and smiled at them politely. "We have shown you our dance and instruments why don't you show us some Indian dance,  your wife must know how to dance!" This caught Sonakshi's attention and she was disagreeing to the Africans proposal. Dev smiled and looked at Sonakshi "We sure can we won't dance as there is no music but we sure can sing a song can you pass me that guitar please?" Sonakshi shook her head at Dev and he closed his eyes to convince her. "GO... GOO... GOO!" the woman and men cheered them on and they couldn't disagree.  Dev pulled the guitar over him and Dev and Sonakshi moved on an empty bench.  He smiled at Sonakshi and held her hand. "You won't have to sing! Because I will sing it all!" he smiled at her and he looked at everyone who was so amazed by their chemistry. They all gazed at them like they were bollywood stars in the cinema.  They were encouraging more and more and Dev started to play the guitar he practiced a little and Sonakshi was amazed at Dev's talents. She had never heard him play the guitar before it was so melodious so perfect every touch was correct.
Dev and Sonakshi sat on the bench cuddling whilst Dev sang the first verse. Dev gazed into Sonakshi's eyes and they smiled as Dev sang beautifully to her.

(Bold is Dev, Italic is Sonakshi, Bold+Italic is them both)

Is tarah se tu aya hai mujhme,
Ke teri baatein karti hai dhadkane,
Har pal tu har jagah,
Mere saath hai,

Kaise kahoon tu itna,
Mere paas hai,
Ke mujhme mujhse zyada hai,
Tu mujhme mujhse zyada hai [x2].

Sonakshi stood behind Dev and held his shoulders and sang looking down at Dev and then looking up at the stars.
Sonakshi sings
Hasi chahti hoon,
Khushi chahti hoon,
Tere sang yun,
Zindagi chahti hoon,

Tere hi sadaa main banke rahun,
Tu hai sabse badhkar,
Ab yeh kahun,

Har pal tu har jagah,
Mere saath hai,
Kaise kahun tu itna,
Mere paas hai,
Ke mujh mein mujhse zyada hai,
Tu mujhme mujhse zyada hai [x2].

Sonakshi hugged Dev from behind and held him by his waist.
There was a big applause awaiting them as Dev and Sonakshi finished the song. They had big curvy smiles on their face and they couldn't stop smiling at Dev and Sonakshi gazing into each other's eyes. "That was fantastic! Kudos to both of you!" the African man applauded them again. The woman spoke again "Please Sonakshi dear can you sing a solo on your own you have a beautiful voice, your husband sang most of that song please it's my request?" Sonakshi looked shocked and she blushed a bit. Dev winked at Sonakshi and indicated her to sing once more. She hesitated and then nodded in approval. Everyone was ecstatic. "Thank you so much dear you are wonderful!" the woman was overwhelmed.  She stood up and held Dev's shoulders. She closed her eyes and pictured Dev's face. His smiling face.
Badle Se Din Hai
Mere Badli Si Raatein
Kahin Dino Se Meri

Pehli Dafa Hai Ke Mujh Mein Tu Chalka Hai
Pehli Dafa Hai Ke Mujh Mein Tu Chalka Hai

Tujhko Pata Bhi To Ho
Mere Pyaar Mein
Teri Raza Bhi To Ho
Pehli Dafaa Hai
Ke Mujh Mein Tu Chalka Hai
Pehli Dafa Hai..
Ke Mujhme Tu Chalka Hai
Mere Rangon Mein Kuch Rang Hai
Tere Jaise Bhi
Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi
Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi
Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi
Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi
She sang like a peacock and Dev smiled like a little boy mesmerising her beautiful voice. He had never seen her sing ever like this it made her looks all the more beautiful. There was a loud applause from the Africans and Dev stood up in joy and they deeply look into each other's eyes. Dev walked up to her and held her cheek softly "Thank you Sonakshi for that beautiful song! It was perfect!" Dev pulled Sonakshi into his arms as he wanted this feeling and this moment to ever end. The group of friends DevAkshi had made looked lovingly at them both and blessed them in their own language. Dev and Sonakshi soon realised that they were being watched and separated all embarrassed. It started raining heavily. Everyone rushed under their homes and took the other two with them too. "You can stay with us tonight otherwise you will never be able to get back again there will be no cars around either!" Dev and Sonakshi nodded and agreed to stay in a small old hut. It didn't look very clean or attractive but Dev and Sonakshi had no choice. They only had to spend a night in there. It was raining heavily and Dev and Sonakshi entered the room. They looked at each other and a dim lamp was glowing on their faces which made Dev go wild. He thought of naughty things and Sonakshi was gazing into Dev's eyes and the background tune played.
