Part 15

Dev was pacing back and forth in front of the room Sonakshi was in. She fainted. Dr. Sonakshi Bose Dixit had fainted. He couldn't believe this. She was in perfect condition, no fevers, she ate on time, and did everything on time, yet she had fainted. Dev pushed all his fears away, and reminded himself that she had promised she would never leave him and he was sure that she would keep her word. After a half hour, the doctor came outside.
"Dr., kaisi hai woh? Thik toh hai na?", Dev asked, fear in his voice.
"Mr. Dixit voh abhi bilkul thik hai, aur mujhe lagta hai ki Ye zyada kaam se woh behosh ho gayi hain, aur clear or confirm ki batane Ke liye humein kuch tests karne honge to isiliye aap kal aake unhein le sakte hain", said the doctor.
"Doctor, Kya main Sonakshi Ke saath kamre mein ruk sakta hoon? Aap mana mat kijiye, please", Dev begged, not wanting to stay away from Sonakshi for even one night . The doctor understood how he felt and let him stay with her for the night. Dev got into the room and sat next to the bed Sonakshi was in. He took her hand in his and laid his head down on it and caressed her cheek with the other hand before drifting off to sleep.

The doctor was the couple chatting for a little while before he went in to conduct the test. What a lovely and amazing couple they're!
"Mr. Dixit, Kya aap bahar wait kar sakte hain, humein kuch tests conduct karne hai. Humein sirf 15-20 mins lagega", the doctor said.
Dev looked at Sonakshi one last time and went outside to wait. After some time, the doctor came out with a paper with a smile pasted to his face.
"Congrats Mr. Dixit, aap ek baap banne wale ho. Sonakshi 3 weeks pregnant hain. Mein shock hoon inki vomiting or voh Sab abhi tak start nahi hue the", the doctor said. Dev couldn't believe his ears! He was going to become a dad! He- He was going to have someone call him dad and he would be able to call someone 'my daughter'! Dev's happiness was beyond any limits. He hugged the doctor, and the doctor laughed and gave him the paper which had 'Positive' on it. Tears formed in Dev's eyes. He asked the doctor if he could meet Sonakshi and the doctor smiled happily and nodded. Dev rushed into the room, and hugged Sonakshi who was sitting on the bed.
"Dev, kya hua? Aap thik to hain nah?" Sonakshi said as she caressed his back. She on the other hand, didn't know she was pregnant. The doctor had wanted Dev to break the news to her.
Dev pulled apart and looked into her eyes, tears flowing out of his. Sonakshi wiped them away and insisted on what had happened. Dev couldn't form any words to tell her and he just showed her the paper which had the 'word' written on it. Sonakshi looked up at Dev as soon as realisation crept upon her.
"Dev", she whispered as she tightly hugged him around his neck and tears flowed out of hers too. She buried her face on his shoulder as her tears spilled out, making it wet with her unlady like fluids. They pulled apart after some time and Dev put a hand over her stomach, wondering if he could feel his child.
"Sonakshi maine tumhe jab kaha tha ki main tumse is duniya mein sabse zyada pyar karta hoon, ab vo badalne wala hai, kyunki ab is duniya mein ek choti Sonakshi aana waali hai", Dev said as Sonakshi hit his shoulder playfully.
"Aur agar ek chhota Mr. Obodro aaya toh?", she asked with an O shaped mouth in the end. 😯😜
"Toh voh Little Sonakshi Ka part 2 hoga", he replied and they both laughed. Dev buried his head in her stomach, and Sonakshi protectively covered his head, not wanting to miss the feeling of it.
After a few minutes, the doctor came in and they both immediately got separated. The doctor chuckled and gave them a few list of medicines to take when required, and told them the do's and the don't's for Sonakshi. They thanked the doctor and when Sonakshi was discharged, they both got in the car to get home.
"Dev, maa kitni khush hongi na ki voh ek dadi bunne waali hain?" Sonakshi said excited to tell her the news.
"Sonakshi, ma Ki birthday Friday aa rahi hai, aur aaj Wednesday hai, hum Ma Ko Friday uskey birthday par bataenge aur unka toh gift bhi ho gaya." Dev said.
Sonakshi agreed with him and they both finalised that no one would find out anything about her being pregnant till Friday.
Ishwari fumed as she saw Dev and Sonakshi walking hand in hand and Both being happy about something. 😤😤
"Ma kuch khaane Ko dena, humein bhook lagi hai", Dev said as he and Sonakshi headed towards the dining table to have their breakfast. Meanwhile, GKB came to Ishwari.
"Dekha jiji, Dev Ki biwi hoke bhi voh bengalan Dev Ko khana paros ke nahin de rahi hai, Lekin aap de rahe hain. Kaisi bahu hai ye jiji", GKB said agitating her.
Ishwari went and served food, but only to Dev on his plate. Sonakshi felt hurt but it was replaced by happiness as Dev fed her from his plate. Ishwari's anger built up more until she couldn't handle it anymore.
"Dev beta tu nashta kar Le main upar kamre mein hoon", she said 😡😡
Dev nodded as they both enjoyed their breakfast. GKB followed Ishwari upstairs to agitate her even more. They both made a plan on how to get them separated and despise each other.

"Sonakshi, kitne din hogaye hain tum apni maa baba Ko nahin dekha, tum aaj chali jao, kal phir aajana" Ishwari said to her as she was folding the clothes.
"Sachi Ma? Thq ur the best!", and with that happy note she took what she needed and went to their house, the place where she felt like home.
Haan driver, abhi time hai, tunne uska tasveer dekha na? Voh abhi ghar se nikal rahi hai, Voh vahan par kisi bhi waqt pe pahaunch sakti hai tujhe yaad hai na tujhe Kya karna hai?
