Chapter 4

Dev was shocked. There was someone else in Sonakshi's life? But how, when and where? Dev was really sad, and angry and hurt, all at the same time.
"Dev aaja Nashta kar le", Ishwari called out.
Dev obediently sat but, didn't feel like eating anything.
"Sona di aapki shaadi ke baad yahan hi kaam karenge na?", Nikki asked.
"Pata nahin Nikki, dekhna padega. I mean family hoga right? Mere husband, unke parents aur phir bache bhi honge. Agar mein sab handle karoon to mein bohot hi tired ho jaaongi to isilye mujhe lagta hai mujhe job chod dena chahiye ", Sonakshi replied.
On the other hand, Dev was getting really angry listening to all this and got up from there, up to his room.
"Kichu bhaiya mera nashta kamre mein bhijwa dena", Dev told, on the verge of tears again. Wiuth that, he left from his room.
Sonakshi was smiling to herself, her plan had worked. Both Sonakshi and Nikki high-fived each other.
"Kichu bhaiya aap mujhe de dijiye mein le jaati hoon", Sonakshi told him.
When Sonakshi reached his room, what she saw made her stop. Dev was holding a knife and was about to cut his hand.
"Dev ye aap kya kar rahe hain? Tumhari mata khorab? Pagal ho gaye hain kya aap!?", Sonakshi yelled at him, dropping her tray and rushing towards him, and checking if he had harmed himself.
"Sonakshi maine ek galti ki, tum mujhe ek aur moka nahin dogi? Ek aur chance? Mein jaanta hoon maine galat ki par Sonakshi aap ye mere saath kyun kar rahe hain? Ek galti kar di aur aap ne naya boyfriend bana liya air uske saath shaadi karne ke liye bhi taiyyar thi? Kyun? Kya main itna bura, itna rude hoon ki aap-", Dev said but Sonakshi cut him off.
"Dev tumi ekdom pagal", she said, tears flowing down her face faster than a stream. "Maine jo aapko promis kiya tha kya aap voh sab bhul gaye? Ya kya aap kabhi sune hi nahi? Maine aapko promise kiya tha na ki mein aapko kabhi ghodke nahin jaaongi agar aap bhi chodenge tab bhi nahin? Toh kya aap ko lagta hai mein voh promise bhool jaongi?" She asked, frustrated.
"Aap ko kitni baar bolna padega ki Dev I Love YOU! Aur agar mujhe kisis se shaadi bhi karni hoti to voh sirf aap hain understand? ONLY YOU DEV, ONLY YOU!" she said, screaming at the last part.
Meanwhile, Dev , who was listening to all this quietly finally spoke.
"I'm sorry", he said, which earned him a tight hug from Sonakshi. When they broke he again asked, "Sonakshi tumne bola tha ki tum kisi se marriage karni wali ho, woh bhi 2weeks mein. Kis se shaadi karni waali thi?"
Sonakshi blushed, and looked down, not meeting his eyes. "Woh Auntyji ne humare rishte ke liye haan keh diya hai, aur jab hamne pandit ji se baat ki toh unhone kaha ki 2 hapta baad hi taarik hai, next date 3 saal bad aane wala hai", she said.
"Tumne bina mujhe pooche shaadi ke liye pandit ji se bhi baat kar chuki ho? Tum kaise jaanti ho ki mein tumse shaadi karna chahta hoon? Shayad ho sakta hai ki tum meri girlfrind ho par mujhe aur kisi se shaadi karni pade. Agar mujhe forcefuly kisi se shaadi karni pade toh? Acha yeh nahi, yeh batao ki agar tumhare ghar wale na mana kar diya toh?", he asked.
Sonakshi picked up the knife which was on the table, and turled it around in her fingers, looking at it as she spoke. "Toh mein mana loongi , no problem", she said calmly.
"Aur agar mene mana kar diya toh?", he asked.
Sonakshi finally looked at him. "Toh main jaanse mar doongi", she said, with anger in her eyes. "Ab agar aapke saval kahtm ho gaye to chalen?", she asked.
Dev nodded.
Downstairs, Nikki, Ria, and Iswari Ji were sitting downstairs.
"Ho gaya Dev? Ab chalo aur jaldi karo, kitna kuch kaam hai woh bhi sab 2 hapte mein... ", Ishwari ji murmered and went off to make the guest list. Nikki and Ria congraluted Sonakshi and Dev for their marriage and Ria went to work, whereas Nkkki went off to college.
"Toh Sonakshi mujhe office ke liye late ho raha hai, mein chjalta hoon. Shaam me milte hain", he said carrying his laptop bag, and giving a kiss to Sonakshi, which left her standing frozen, as always.
