The stench of alcohol immediately hits my nose, the loud music blares as people are grinding against each other. I would have never stepped place in a club, ever. I have owned a fair share of clubs but I never stepped into one, they were just a business booster.
Everyone separates the second we get to the bar, Tara drags John to the dance floor, Sid rushes towards the bar-he can't live without his vodka, and Luka stays with me, his hand firmly clasping mine.
"Lyss, I'm guessing that you've probably never been here. But enjoy yourself as much as you can and let yourself loose." "You guessed right. But I promise I'll try. Go on Luka, have some fun yourself. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine." I urge. "No I can't le-" "Luka just go!" I laugh while pushing his chest with one hand. Luka hesitates but finally lets go of my hand and starts walking towards the dance floor.
He looks behind his shoulder directly at me, silently asking if I'm truly okay with him leaving my side. I give him an encouraging nod, he can be so stubborn sometimes.
I head over to the Bar deciding to give Sid some company. I take a seat next to him but he doesn't even acknowledge my presence because he's too busy glaring at someone. I follow the direction of his death glare to see it land on a man's back. "Sid, snap out of it!" I yell finally getting his attention.
"Why are you glaring at him?" I ask curiously. "We all have our reasons." He sighs. "Well I really do not want to know yours since I have been asking you for about five minutes." I reply sarcastically. The bartender who has been preparing Sid's drink and eavesdropping in our conversation finally comes over to give Sid his drink.
The guy looks in his mid 20's, tall with a surfer type build. He actually looks exactly like a surfer, with the tan skin, dirty blonde hair, and the dull green eyes.
"Thanks." Sid and the man exchange a nod, not wanting to stir up an awkward conversation. "And what would you like beautiful?" He asks his gaze not leaving mine. "Nothing I'm good." I reply curtly. I have never had alcohol before-just wine-and I plan on never drinking it in my life.
Sid chuckles when the bartender finally goes away and decides to give up flirting with me. "Oh Lyss, when are you ever going to have fun and let loose?"
"Luka said the same thing to me only a few minutes ago." I frown.
"But seriously Lyss, I mean it." He gives me a stern look.
"Okay fine, I will drink and dance if you agree to do whatever I say for a week and tell me why your glaring at that guy." He rubs his stubble thoughtfully before deciding. "Okay, challenge accepted."
"Now, why are you glaring at that guy?" I ask eagerly knowing that I'd finally get an actual answer this time.
"Fine...there's this girl-"
My neutral face turns into a big smile and I immediately cut him of. "Oh my gosh, you finally like someone in three years! Tara is going to be so happy."
His eyes widen. "No! D...don't tell her please! M...my life is on the line. Let her still think I'm gay." He pleads.
"Tara thinks your gay, seriously?" I say and burst out laughing.
"You probably thought so too." He grumbles.
"Well yes of coarse, until that time one day when I accidentally opened your bedroom door while staying at your house that one night."
"Manners Lyss; from now on you will remember to knock on someone's door before entering." He grins cheekily. "How do still remember that anyways? That was like...two years ago."
