Chapter 14: Invasion

"Ugh, this is boring." Naruto said as he yawned. Shikamaru just forfeited which caused many people to boo. The match before that was Kankuro vs. Shino but Kankuro gave up as well.

"Now may we have Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha on the battlefield please?" Hayate yelled.

"Finally. I just wish it was Gaara and not Sasuke." Naruto said aloud. Gaara smiled on the inside. Getting praise from his grandfather made him happy.

Naruto and Sasuke walked onto the battlefield.

"Ready to lose dobe?" Sasuke said with a smirk. Naruto narrowed his eyes at him.

"If you keep talking, what I did to Kiba will seem like child's play compared what I'll do to you." He said as he looked at Sasuke. Sasuke shivered a little. He remembered all to clearly what Naruto did to Kiba.

"J-just fight me dobe." The Uchiha said as he got in his fighting stance. Naruto sighed.

"May we start Hayate?" Naruto asked. Hayate nodded.

"You may start, NOW!" He yelled as Sasuke shot towards Naruto as he tried to deliver an uppercut but his fist was caught.

"Tell me Sasuke, what do you fight and train for?" He punched Sasuke in the ribs before kicking him away.

"To kill my brother and to restore the Uchiha clan. In that order." He said making many fangirls cry.

"Those are horrible reasons Sasuke." He said as he dodged another punch before delivering his own. Sasuke grunted in pain as he fell to his knees.

"Why do you fight? Why are you so strong?" Sasuke glared at Naruto. Naruto replied without hesitation.

"I believe one becomes truly strong when something is precious to them. I have many precious people. Some are love interest and many are my friends. You need to find someone precious to you Sasuke." Sasuke's glare increased dramatically.

"How would you know?! My family was murdered in front of me dobe!" He screamed catching Naruto off guard. Sure Sasuke yelled a lot, but this was a scream filled with agony and pain. Emotional pain. "Can't you see? I have no one left to love." A single test flowed from Sasuke's eyes. Naruto's face softened.

"Then let us give you someone to love and to consider precious okay? But in return, I want you to give up revenge and stop hating Itachi. Only then will I return what you crave most." Naruto said staring into Sasuke's eyes.

"And what would that be?" He said, his voice having a sliver of curiosity in them. Naruto smiled.

"Family and Information." He said simply as Sasuke's eyes widened. He then snorted.

"Impossible." Naruto laughed.

"Watch Me." (Haha. That's a pun.) Naruto activated his Rinnegan before muttering two words. "Rinne Rebirth!" He yelled. His hair grew a bright white as he coughed up some blood. He laughed weakly.

"You're welcome. But we have to act fast. Your mother might suffocate in her coffin." Naruto slowly walked to Sasuke, who was shocked, the chance of his mother being alive was just unbelievable to him. Naruto then did something he thought he'd never do.

He pokes his forehead. Just like Itachi.

"I'm sorry Sasuke." He whispered as he almost fell.

"W-why? Why did you do this for me? I treat you like trash." Sasuke uttered out. Naruto took off his mask once again and eye smiled at him sadly.

"I don't want you to hate. I don't want you to be alone like I was/am. Plus, I have to keep my promise." Naruto whispered, his head leaning on Sasuke's shoulder.
