Chapter 6: Finally

"Ojisan, can we get a C-rank mission now? We've been doing like, a hundred thousand missions." He whined. Then he got serious. "And if I have to catch that demon cat again, I'm going to kill the little shit."

"NARUTO! YOU SHOW RESPECT TO THE THIRD HOKA-" Iruka was about to say but was cut off by a sigh from Hiruzen.

"It's quite alright Iruka. Naruto may speak to me like he doesn't respect me but he does. I can see it in his eyes. Plus, he's like a grandson to me." He said chuckling at the last bit. Sakura and Sasuke narrowed their eyes at the blonde trying to see any emotions of the masked boy other than amusement. They gave up having no success.

"Alright Naruto, you can have a simple escort mission. C-rank. Send him in." The third said as a drunken man walked in with a bottle of sake in his hand. "This is Tazuna. You will be escorting him safely to the Land of Waves."

"This is my protection? 3 snot nose-" Tazuna began.

"Can I have a sip of your sake? I heard sake from Wave is really good and it's one of the few I haven't tried yet." Naruto said quickly, sort of getting excited. Tazuna looked at his sake, then back to Naruto.

"Aren't you underage?" He asked simply. The thought of a kid asking for some sake was ridiculous. Naruto appeared in front of him, took the bottle and waterfalled it. He wiped his mouth and handed it back to Tazuna.

"Old enough to kill, old enough drink." He replied. Everyone's eyes widened at Naruto's actions except for the Sarutobi. He just smiled. "When do we leave?" He said turning around.

"Tomorrow at 6:00. Don't be late." He turned to Kakashi. "That means you too. If you are, I'll have Team 7 have a temporary sensei while you do all the D-ranks in the village without the use of Jutsu. Understand? And since I know you'll still be late, I'll assign someone else to go on this mission just in case okay. Anko, come on in."

Naruto's face brightened visibly to the group as Anko walked in with a smirk that turned into a smile when she saw Naruto.

"Hey Foxy-kun. You going on this mission too?" She said draping her arms around his shoulders and putting her chin on top of his head. Naruto blushed slightly and was glad he was wearing his mask or she would've seen every detail of his blush and not just a little bit of it. He didn't want to give her complete satisfaction over his embarrassment.

"Who's this slut/whore?" Sasuke and Sakura said at the same time, surprising Kakashi, Anko herself, Hiruzen, and Iruka. Naruto wasn't surprised. But he wasn't happy either. He closed his eyes and stretched his arm out towards the two inexperienced Genin and lifted them up and started closing his hands, making them gasp for air as they put their hands on their throats. (Star Wars Force Choke) He stepped towards the and opened his eyes, revealing his Rinnegan that was glaring at them.

"If I ever find out you call my Anko-chan that again," he laughed coldly as he put them down. "You'll wish you were never born." Anko blushed a little at his protective self. She decided to tease him.

"What do you mean 'my Anko-chan' Foxy-kun." She said in a teasing voice. He slowly turned around to face Anko, his whole face tomato red. He deactivated his Rinnegan and looked at her, bright blue meeting blackish gray eyes. He rubbed the back of his head.

"Heh, sorry Anko-chan. Guess I got carried away." He looked at his feet. "It's true and I don't regret it." He murmured to himself, yet Kakashi and Anko heard. Kakashi laughed quietly while Anko blushed horribly and hit Kakashi on the head.

"Shutup you pervert!" She yelled then started making her way towards Naruto. Naruto's eyes widened as he realized the danger he was in. He backed away from the slightly crazed girl.

Naruto Uzumaki, former leader of Akatsuki, master of the Rinnegan, summoner of dragons, was scared of a woman who he loved.

"Anko-chan, let's be rational, you know that in about 2 years it's going to be true." He said hoping to make his case better, but only making it worse because both the Hokage and Kakashi heard. The Sarutobi laughed out loud while Kakashi snickered.

"What's happening in two years Naruto?" Asked the Hokage. Naruto gave him an eye smile.

"Anko and I are getting married of course." As he finished the sentence, he was forced to dodge kunai and snakes from the ground. Anko was leaking some KI towards everyone in the room as Kakashi fell to the floor in laughter.

"Naruto-kun." She said smiling crazily at him. Everyone in the room that was conciouss felt a shiver run up their spines. All except Naruto, his blood froze. "Didn't I say that was under wraps? I don't even know my true feelings for you yet. So we dont even know what's going to happen. I may just refuse." Naruto's face faulted as he felt something heavy in his chest. He looked in his shirt much to the the confusion of the three people conciouss.

"What are you doing Naruto?" Asked Hiruzen. Naruto just looked up, his sparkle in his eyes slightly gone. This worried the three.

"I have this heavy thing in my chest and it kinda hurts." He didn't know the pain in his chest. He has felt a lot of physical pain, but emotional was something still fairly new to him. "I think...I think I just need to be alone right now." He said in a depressed voice. His Rinnegan activated as he opened the window and jumped out.

Hiruzen sighed as he took off his hat. "That boy ages me too much. I can't think of a single real thing about him."

"Same. He's very mysterious." Kakashi added.

"I can see under his mask." Anko whispered. "I'm going to go find him I guess." She said sighing in her mind.

On top of the Fourth Hokage's Head

Naruto stared at the village with emotionless eyes. The village his father died saving. He sighed before laying down a looking at the sky.

"Are you proud of me father? Are you proud of what I've become? I've done so much in so little time that it's unbelievable. I learned all your techniques except one and then added my own. I became a leader filled with misunderstood S-Class criminals. I can do things people dream about and yet, whenever it comes to my life and I try to help it, I never progress. I feel like I'm standing in place while everyone else is moving. What do I do?" He said as a large gust moved his hair infront of his eyes, like an answer from the heavens.

"Your father would be proud of you." A voice said behind him before the person sat next to him. He smiled slightly. "I mean, I never knew him personally but, he was a good man."

"Yep. He even sealed the Nine Tails in me. I have to thank him for that. If it wasn't for the Nine Tails, I would've only been half this strong. So around Kakashi-sensei's level." Anko gave him a questioning look asking him to elaborate. "I absorbed the Nine Tails chakra and made it mine after you and Jiraiya left. The Nine Tails wasn't a bad guy to be honest. He was pretty good. Just misunderstood like other people in the world."

"What do you mean 'was'? Isn't he still inside you?" He shook his head no.

"The tailed beast are beings made if chakra, when all the chakra is absorbed, along goes the spirit. He wanted to see his dad one more time though. But, he said I was his dad but just a different body. Which is confusing but still."

"I'm tired Naruto. I think," she yawned. "I'm going to bed." He nodded but was surprised that she laid down next to him and curled up a bit. "Goodnight."

"Goodnight Anko-chan."

I can't wait til the next chapter, Zabuza and Haku come. But will they recognize Naruto?
