Chapter 20: It Was a Dream...

Naruto woke up in a rush, his whole body drenched in sweat. His eyes glanced around everywhere and he let out a sad sigh.

It was another dream. For a second, I thought I was really back in the village. He thought sadly. But he brightened up instantly when he remembered he was returning today.

"You are correct child. We go back today." Hagoromo's ancient and yet wise voice rang out through the cave and the forest.

I'm glad. I finally get to see Anko-chan. I wonder if Tsunade is the Hokage though. Naruto laughed out loud at the thought of an almost always drunk Hokage.

Naruto strapped on his large Cloak and left the forest and walked towards the villages.

Hour Later

Naruto saw the gates and saw then being guarded by two new sets of guards.

So ends the legend of the eternal Chunins. He thought as he chuckled slightly before he reached the gate.

"Halt, who are you and why are you coming to the Hidden Leaf?" One tall Chunin said with black hair stated. The other one was next to him, he had green eyes and brown hair that was kinda messy. Naruto's eyes widened as he recognized the guard.

"Tatsumi?" Was the single word he said before he took off the hood to his cloak revealing his blonde hair and whiskers. Tatsumi's eyes widened before he made a move to punch Naruto but he caught it quickly with his hands.

"H-how could you be alive?! They found a lot of blood. It's shouldn't be humanly possible for you to be alive!" He screamed. Naruto quickly pulled the boy into a big hug.

"I'm so sorry I didn't come quicker. I had A LOT of work to do." He said as he pulled back with a small smile crossing his face. Tatsumi smiled sadly before he explained to the other guard that Naruto was a Leaf Ninja.

"So, how was Anko-chan while I was gone?" Naruto asked with a hint of excitement in his voice. Tatsumi looked at his sensei with sad eyes.

"I don't think you want to know?" He muttered loud enough for Naruto to hear. Naruto gave him a questioning look.

"Why not? Has she been drinking a lot?" He asked with slight concern. Tatsumi nodded solemnly before speaking up.

"She's also been sleeping around, a lot. Like, a lot. Beer and sex is all she knows. I've," he sniffed slightly. "I've tried helping her get better but she refused to do anything." Naruto was close to tears as he heard what his girlfriend has been doing.

"I'm sorry sensei." Tatsumi whispered. Naruto shook his head. But on the inside, he was screaming while Hagoromo tried to calm him down. Naruto rose a shaky hand and placed it on his shoulder.

"It's not your fault. Thank you for trying though." He smiled sadly. "Let's get a drink sometime okay? Got to celebrate you getting Chunin eh?" Tatsumi smiled but on the inside, he knew what his master was going through.

Naruto walked through the gates and took a deep breath. His hood was still off as he walked through the marketplace towards the Hokage Tower. Many people gasped when they saw him.

"Minato-sensei?" A voice rang out from behind him. Naruto whirled around at the mention of his father only to find Kakashi without his book and with a girl under his arm. What girl? Anko to be exact.

"Kakashi-sensei? A-Anko-chan?" He stuttered out, not believing his eyes. Anko was sleeping with Kakashi?! Kakashi saw the whiskers on his face. It wasn't Minato. So it must be...

"N-Naruto?" Was the single word Kakashi uttered out before he was punched through several buildings by Naruto himself.

"Get up you bastard!" He screamed as he stormed towards the building Kakashi has made himself very comfortable with. He pulled Kakashi out and threw him again.
