Lakitu gathered with the risk takers and had a chat with them. He held up a briefcase.

"Inside this briefcase is 50,000 coins from the group pot. Since you guys signed up to be risk takers, you guys will either have a chance to double this, or lose this."

"Wow." Toad said in amazement.

"This isn't gonna be easy." Peach remarked.

"This challenge is very simple: In these 8 bags are every contestants dirty laundry. If you can successfully wash all 8 of these loads AND dry them before sundown- which is 8:00 PM tonight, you win. If not, this briefcase full of coins gets burned, and you lose from the pot." Lakitu explained.

"Oh my god..." Mario's jaw hit the ground.

"It's 1:00 PM guys, we can-" Toad was interrupted.

"Only ONE load can be done at the hotel. Otherwise it's up to you to find people who will let you use their washing machines." Lakitu reminded the group.

"We're screwed" Peach sighed.

"No we're not. I believe in ourselves- we can do this!" Toad exclaimed.

"Here is the laundry. You may start." Lakitu handed the laundry bags over.

"Okay, I have a plan. Peach- you stay at the hotel and to one load, Toad and I will start going around Toad village. When you're done, call me so you can meet up with Toad and I." Mario explained.

"Sounds good to me." Peach said as she took 1 bag and headed to the hotel.

"Let's go, Toad." Mario said.

As Peach put the laundry load in the machine, she got a little bored, and decided to explore a little.

"Just until the load is done. It won't hurt the group." Peach said to herself as she walked out of the hotel.

"Gloop glee glam gloorrr glapored?" (Can we please use your washing machine?) Toad asked a fellow townsfolk.

"Glor gla glip glon gloob Lucy glon gliy" (Sorry- I have a load going. But Lucy down the street will help.) The toad said back.

"Glooy!" (Thanks!)

"Geez Toad, what kind of language is this?! And how do you know it so well?" Mario asked as the two walked down the street.

"It's called Toadeese. I learned it in school."

"Oh."

What Peach didn't realize is that she was taking too much time.

"Be back at the hotel at 1:30, be back at the hotel at 1:30, be back at the hotel at 1:30..." Peach repeated to herself then checked her watch.

2:00 PM

"I'm dead."

(!) "I haven't even dried the load yet! I'm such a fool..." Peach said as she buried her head in her hands.

Peach ran back to the hotel and threw the load into the dryer. "I'm staying this time."

"Gloyya glomiz gloop glopping glee? (May we please wash our clothes at your place?)" Toad asked.

"Glore! Glot glomerrur glo glim glom glitz. (Sure! Just remember to take all of your stuff when you leave.)" Lucy responded.

Toad said a quick thanks, and Mario and him wasted no time. By then it was 3:00 PM, so they had to speed up.

DING! The machine beeped as Peach took the clothes out. "Ah, fresh clothes!" Peach counted all of the clothes as she walked out of the hotel and put them in the bag. Halfway through the walk, Peach realized two things. She miscounted and left a sock behind, and she didn't know where she was going. She ran back to the hotel.

DING! The machine beeped as Mario put it into the dryer and Toad put the next load in.

Peach put the sock back in the bag and called Mario. "Hey, where are you guys? I finished!"

"What took you so long?" Mario exclaimed.

"Sorry, I got uh- in a mix-up."

"Whatever. Meet as at Toad park.

"Okay, bye."

Mario ran to Toad park as Toad stayed behind to finish the laundry.

Toad Park was crowded, so it took Mario some time to find Peach.

"Mario!" Mario heard.

"Peach?" Mario pushed through a crowd of Toads.

"There you are!" Peach said as Mario found her.

"Now, where do we go..." Mario scratched his head.

"I'll call Toad, don't worry."

20 Minutes Later...

Toad wasted time by helping Peach and Mario find their way, and by the time they finished their 4th load is was already 5 PM. Additionally, Toad had to pack up and leave because Lucy had to go out and Toad couldn't stay in the house alone.

The group finally found each other, but it took them another hour to find another Toad that was willing to help. And it was Toad's grandma!

"Grandma!" Toad hugged his grandma and introduced her to Peach and Mario. "We should have done this all along!" Toad exclaimed.

"Grandma, can we use your washing machines?" Toad asked.

"Of course, honey!"

"Guys, come." Toad led Peach and Mario to his grandma's laundry room.

"TWO washing machines? That's what I'm talking about!" Mario dumped a load into a machine.

2 Hours Later...

(!) The group finally finished their loads, but they had to meet me at the hotel where they started, and they only had one hour left.

"Uh- is that the hotel?" Mario asked.

"No, that's not it." Toad said.

"But that is!" Peach exclaimed.

"Yeah!" Mario and Toad agreed as the group ran towards it.

Once they found Lakitu, he sorted through all of the laundry to make sure they had everything.

"Mhmmm... Mhmm... Yup, that's everything. Well, you had 15 minutes remaining, so you win!"

"YES!" Toad exclaimed.

"WOOOOO!!!!" Peach hugged Toad and Mario.
