Chapter 6- Hurt

Chapter 6

Hazels POV

My phone woke me up. 16 missed calls from Dylan and Alex. Damn I was screwed.  

I looked over at Scott slowly getting out of bed careful not to wake him. I put my clothes back on and called Dylan.  

"Hazel where are you?" Dylan sounded worried.  

"The motel between 5th and Maple. Please come get me. I messed up big time." I left the motel careful not to make any sounds. 

"Okay Ill be right there."  

"Okay." I whispered.  

I stood outside the Motel waiting for what seemed like ever. Then my car pulled up with Dylan driving and what a surprise Alex in the passenger side. I climbed into the back not saying a word. They didn't say anything either. I wasn't sure what Dylan told everyone. I didn't want to make something up when he already did.  

We drove in silence all the way back to the house. I didn't even look at them just walked right up to my room. Throwing myself onto my bed and covering my head with pillows. Then my bedroom door opened. "Cant a girl get any sleep around here?" I groaned.  

"Hazel. What did you do last night?" It was Dylan. I sat up and told him everything. "Damn Hazel you waste no time." He laughed and I just flopped back down. 

"Judge me okay." I laughed at myself.  

"Listen I told them you met up with an old friend and you probably just lost track of time and didn't want to walk home in the dark." I nodded in agreement. 

"Okay can I get some sleep now?"  

"You can try but I'm pretty sure that Alex is going to be up here any-" He was interrupted by a very angry Alex. I nodded at Dylan and he left shutting the door behind him.  

"Alex get out I'm trying to sleep." I put a pillow over my face. 

"Why? Why did you sleep with him Hazel?" I could hear the hurt in his voice. I got up standing in front of him now.  

"I don't know what you are talking about." I crossed my arms. 

"Dont play stupid you smell like another wolf."  

"I smell like me." He grabbed my arms pushing me against a wall.  

"DONT LIE TO ME!" His grip tightened and I could feel my arms loosing circulation. My eyes filling with tears.  

"Alex let go of me." I couldn't move my arms at this point. His eyes black now. Filled with anger. "Alex. Please." Tears falling from my eyes. He let me go and I fell to the floor. 

"Hazel im-" I cut him off. 

"Get out." 

"Hazel." He tried reaching for my hand. 

"GET OUT!" He backed away. Whispering something that I couldn't hear.  

Alex's POV 

I shut her door behind me. I cant believe I just did that. I thought maybe I had a chance of getting her back. Maybe we could be together. But now im just pushing her away more. I walked down stairs to my office. I needed a way to get her back. For her to trust me. I slammed my office door shut and sat down at my desk. Running my hands threw my hair.  

A knock on the door interrupted my thoughts. "Come in." I sighed. Trying to get my self together. I looked up to see Hazel walking in. Bruises on her arms where I had grabbed. "I'm sorry." I said getting up going to hug her.  

"Don't" She put her hand up stopping me. "I came to ask you something." 

"What is it." She looked at the floor.  

"Go out with me. Like not a date but two friends." She looked up her blue eyes starring into mine.  

"Really you aren't mad?"  

"No im furious. But I think we need to take this one step at a time. We aren't getting any where if I stay mad. Plus you promised you wouldn't leave. It works both ways." She shrugged. I just wanted to kiss her right then and there. Gosh I wish she would just let me. "Okay stop thinking you are hurting my head." Damn I forgot she could hear my thoughts. "Still can hear you. You can kiss me. But just this once." I tilted her chin up kissing her lips softly. I needed to savor this. It might be my last.  

Hazels POV 

*Later that day* 

The sun was warm on my pale skin. The pool looked amazing. I was tempted to jump in until Dylan and Jake decided to go and make out in it. I tilted my sunglasses down and glared at them. Dylan stuck his tongue out at me and I just laughed. The bruises on my arms disappeared. Thank god for werewolf healing.  

I sat back in my chair and let the sounds of the forest carry me away. I felt someone sit in the chair next to me. I didn't dare open my eyes. I knew who it was just by the smell. Scott. How did he even know where the pack house was. "Im leaving tonight." I turned to look at him. 

"Why?" 

"The pack needs me back. Plus your Alpha doesn't want me on your land anymore. Or even around you." 

"WHAT!" I sat up scanning the backyard for Alex. 

"Its alright Hazel." He touched my arm and I jumped back. The memories of Alex came back.  

"Im sorry just don't really want to be touched." 

"He hurt you didn't he?" My silence told him everything. "I'm going to kill him. He may be your mate but he has no right. He rejected you!" He got up looking down at me. "Come back with me. Please." 

"I cant. My life is here." I stood up with him. 

"Alright." He looked sad. "Promise me if he touches you again you will call me." I nodded in agreement. He kissed me soft and gently and I heard a low growl from behind me. I broke the kiss and smiled up at Scott. "I should go." He looked at Alex. "I Love you." 

"I love you too." I watched as he left. I turned to Alex. He looked very angry. I shrugged my shoulders and with that I jumped into the pool.

"Come on Hazel don't be a wimp get in." Mariah said from the lake.  

"You are crazy!!!" I laughed at her. "You are going to freeze to death."  

"Its not even cold." I watched as a leaf fell into the water. It was the middle of fall and Mariah thought it would be a good idea to go skinny dipping in the lake. "Come on Hazel get in!!!"  

"No!" I shook my head. "Never going to happen." I tried not to laugh my hardest. I sat down on a rock near the lake. "Mariah promise me something."  

"Anything." She said swimming around. 

"Promise me no matter what you will never leave me. Best friends forever." 

"I promise." 

"AHHHHHHH." I sat up screaming. Tears rolling down my eyes. My door busted open I looked up to find a half naked worried Alex. I got up running to him. I couldn't stop the tears.  

"Shhh its okay." He lifted me bridal style. Over to the bed. "She promised. She broke her promise." I sobbed into his chest. 

"Shhh. Its okay im here." He held me close.  

"Don't break your promise please." I sobbed even more. 

"I promise im not going anywhere. Just go to sleep. You need it." I nuzzled my head into his chest. Trying to stop the tears.  

"I miss her." And with that I was out.
