Chapter 20

Alex's POV

Images flooded my mind. Ana stood on the bed with her hand to Scott. He held his head between his hands as he screamed out in agony! "Stop!" He cried out as he continued clutching his head. Ana opened her other hand and lightning bolts shot from it. Ana jumped from the bed and walked towards a screaming Scott.  

"What do you see?" She asked genuinely curious.  

"Shes dead in my arms." He cried out. 

"Who?" Ana tilted her head at him.  

"My soul mate." He fell to the floor.  

"Whats a soul mate?" She sat down next to him while dropping her hand. He looked up at her.  

"It's a.. Well, it's like a best friend, but more. It's the one person in the world that knows you better than anyone else. It's someone who makes you a better person, well, actually they don't make you a better person... you do that yourself-- because they inspire you. A soul mate is someone who you carry with you forever. It's the one person who knew you, and accepted you, and believed in you before anyone else did or when no one else would. And no matter what happens.. you'll always love them."  

"Do I have a soul mate?" She asked tilting her head.  

"Yeah somewhere out there." He said sitting up.  

"Are my mommy and daddy soul mates?" Ana said stretching her hand in anticipation.  

"Yeah they are." He nodded in a response.  

"Then why do you want to hurt them?" She touched his face.  

"They hurt mine." He stood up. "I have to avenge her."  

"But she wouldn't want that." Ana shook her head. "I'm sorry." Ana said as she opened her hand and raised it towards Scott.  

"Ana, if you plan to end me, do it now." Scott said getting on one knee.  

"Why would I end you? I just want you to be with your soul mate." She whispered kissing his head. "Don't worry you'll be happy there." She started the sparks once again and threw them at Scott. He yelled in pain and Ana held her hand up and slowly started closing it. "Fears are only fears until they turn into dreams! My mommy told me that once." She said to Scott who was holding his head. "Im sorry." She closed her hand and everything became quiet.  

Ana pulled her hand from my face and I looked at her. "You did that?" I asked looking at her. She nodded.  

"I gave him peace." Oh Ana. I pulled her close to my chest. Scott was gone because of those powers I feared so much. I looked over at Mariah who was giving me a questioning look.  

"Ana go check on mommy." She nodded and jumped off my lap. As she shut the door I turned to Mariah. "She ended him. I don't think she knows what she did, but she did it. My 5 year old daughter killed someone with their own fears." I put my head in my hands.  

"Daddy!" Ana said from the bedroom across the hall. "Daddy shes waking up!" I smiled a little and walked out of my office and into my bedroom. Mariah close behind me.  

Sure as hell there was my beautiful wife sitting up with Ana in her lap. I went over to her and kissed her. "Is he gone?" She asked while looking at Ana. I nodded. "How?" Ana placed her hand on Hazels cheek and I watched her reactions as she watched the images.  

Ana pulled her hand away from her face. "She did that?" I nodded.
