Saying I was nervous was an understatement. Driving to the doctors with Dylan had to have been the longest ride of my life. The doctors was only about 30 minutes away but yet I felt like it had taken us hours. Don't get me started with waiting in the waiting room. Times like this I wish I could use the Luna title but that doesn't work on humans.
"Hazel Mathews. The doctor will see you now." The nurse said gesturing us to follow her. Dylan and I walked behind her. My palms were getting sweaty. And I was getting nervous. We stopped in front of a door and we followed her in. "Okay Hazel the doctor will be right with you." I smiled at her and gave her a warm thank you.
"Dylan I am so scared. I wanted pups but not this soon." I layed on the table with my hand over my forehead.
"Calm down Hazel you and Alex are going to make great parents. I just know it." He took my hand in his making small circles with his thumb.
"Oh god who would of thought Alex and I having kids." I looked at Dylan who was laughing.
"Who would of thought You would be asking that question." This time we both were laughing and then a knock on the door. The doctor came in and gave Dylan and I a warm smile.
"Hello Hazel. Just an ultra sound today?" He asked setting up the machine.
"Yeah I would just like to know how far along I am." I said holding Dylans hand.
"Are you the father?" The doctor looked at Dylan and he laughed.
"No I'm her best friend."
"Well alright then. Lets get started." I rolled up my tank to till it was right under my bra. The doctor began to rub gel on my stomach and began to move around the ultrasound thingy on my stomach. I looked up at the screen and a pee sized baby appeared. I felt Dylans hand squeezed mine. "Well theres your baby. You look about 6 weeks along." A smile crept onto my face. "Would you like a few pictures?" I nodded. He printed a few pictures and then we were on our way.
I stood outside Alex's office in the pack house nervously. I didn't know if I wanted to go in or not. I wasn't even sure why I was nervous. It was time I grew some balls and go in. I opened the door slightly peeking my head in before going all the way in. Alex was on the phone but he gestured for me to come in. I sat in the chair across from his desk. He hung up the phone and looked at me.
"Alex, I'm 6 weeks along." A smile crept onto his face. "Wanna see our first baby pictures?" He nodded and I handed him the pictures. He looked through all of them. A smile still on his face. He stood up and walked toward me. He lifted me up and sat back down with me on his lap. He nuzzled his head in between my shoulder blades and started kissing up to my neck.
"You make me so happy." He kissed my neck and I put my head back giving him more access. "Alex. I love you." I whispered under my breath but I know he heard me.
"Hazel Grace Mathews. I love you too."
I sat up looking around I was at home. My head hurt like crazy. I looked down and I was naked. I looked over at Alex who was sleeping like a baby. I looked at the clock 2am. I ran my hand over my lips. The memories from earlier came rushing back. Alex and I have had sex but nothing like this. This was different. This was out of love not lust. I got up grabbing my robe from the floor. I went to the window and looked out into the backyard. Red eyes stared back at me. I couldn't help but let out a scream.
Alex came running to my side. He looked out into the back yard and I felt him stiffen. I would never forget those eyes. Scott. Alex was about to storm out the room when I grabbed his arm. "Please, Dont go." Tears forming in my eyes. I could feel myself getting ready to break down. He pulled me into his arms and comforted me.
10 minutes later Jake, Dylan, Evan, and Matt came into the room. Dylan and Matt pulled me away from Alex and I didn't register what was happening until Alex spoke. "I'm sorry." He kissed my forehead and walked away from me.
"ALEX!" I was trying to escape from Dylan's and Matt's grip on me but they were to strong. "ALEX! ALEX! PLEASE! DONT DO THIS." I felt tears coming out of my eyes I didn't want to have to do this. "Alex. If you walk out that door I am gone." He stopped and turned to me. Tears in his eyes. My wolf wanted me to go and apologize to him but I was going to do no such thing. He has a pup on the way he can not just go around risking his life. What if he calls my bluff. But then again I left him once I will do it again.
"Hazel, you don't mean that." I heard the hurt in his voice.
"Yes I do. Do you really want to test it?"
"I don't believe you." He turned to walk out the door but stopped and gave me one last look.
"You'll see when you get home." I pulled out of Dylan's and Matt's grips and ran to the bathroom. I slid to the floor with my back against the door. Then a knock. "Go away." I removed the loose tears from my eyes.
"Hazel, open the door." Alex said on the other side. "Hazel, open this door or I am going to break it down." This time it was an order. But I didn't care.
"I'm in front of it so you cant break it down without hurting me." I said threw the sobs.
"Hazel come out. I promise you I am not going out there. The guys went. I am not leaving you." I stood up and opened the door. Before I had the chance to even say anything I was in Alex's arms. "I cant lose you again."
"You wont." I put my head against his chest. He pulled away and looked into my eyes. He lifted me up bridal style and walked me to the bed. I moved closer to him and fell asleep in his arms. Like I would be doing for the rest of my life.
