Chapter 13

Hazels POV

I stare down at my beautiful baby girl. I cant believe I made that. I have been staring down into Anastasia's crib for the past half hour watching her sleep. Alex came up behind me holding me by my waist. "She looks like you." He whispered into the crook of my neck. I didn't think she looked like me at all everything about her was Alex. Her blonde curls and her bright blue eyes.

"She looks like you the most. Everything about her is you." I whisper moving one of her curls out of her face. She looked so peaceful.

"Come on Hazel lets go to bed." He took my hand and dragged me to our room.

I snuggled up in bed and was about to fall asleep when Anastasia's cries came through the baby monitor. Then a sudden burst of thunder. I looked out the window and it was a full out storm. I bolt of lightening came out of nowhere and made me jump a little. I ran to Ana's room and picked her up and rocked her back and forth.

I gave her a bottle and she stopped crying. The storm stopped too. Did she do this? I knew that a child born of beta and Alpha blood would be powerful but creating a storm when ever they cried. It must be a coincidence. After she was asleep I placed her back in her crib and went back to bed.

"That was weird. The storm." Alex said pulling me close.

"I think it was Ana." I said turning to him. "I think she caused it."

"Just get some sleep." He kissed my forehead an I did as I was told.

*5 years later*

"Anastasia Marie Embry get back here!" She turned around and stuck her tongue out.

"Gotta catch me first mommy!" She ran up the stairs. The past five years have been the best. We figured that Ana had amazing powers. When she was upset, she created thunder storms. When she was happy the sun came out. When she was sad the whole earth shook. We don't know how to control it yet but we will figure it out. Right now I need to get Ana into the tub.

"Anastasia get back here or no desert." I screamed. That stopped her. She turned around and batted her long eyelashes and gave me her most convincing puppy dog eyes. I shook my head. "Not going to work. Bathroom now." I pointed my finger in the direction of her bathroom. She stomped her little feet all the way there.

After getting her washed I picked out a cute little pink dress for her to wear. "Mommy how come I have to go." She pouted as I slid the dress onto her.

"Ana come on your cousins miss you. Don't you want to see Madison and Victoria?"

"No." She shook her head. "Why is that?" I said pulling her blonde hair into a pony tail. He hair is super long now in a pony it reaches the bottom of her back. She never let me cut it.

"They don't like me." I frowned.

"Do you know why?" She nodded. "They say it's cuz I have a mommy and they have two daddy's" Victoria and Madison are Dylan and Jake's kids. Jake brought them home after finding them in the woods cold and alone. But that's not my story to tell. They're only about 2 months younger than Ana. Wolved shift on their fifth birthday. That's how we new how old they were.

"You don't have to play with them just be nice." She nodded. "Now go brush your teeth." She ran into the bathroom.

At the party Ana was playing with a group of kids on the swing set. Alex was cooking on the grill. I was sitting at a table with Dylan and Jake. "I have something I need to talk to you guys about." They looked up at me. "Madison and Victoria have been being mean to Ana. They kept saying things about how she had a mommy and they have two daddy's.

"Oh Hazel we didn't know." Dylan put a hand on his chest and gasp. "We thought they were fine with two daddy's"

"I don't think they have a problem with it. I think it's just they don't have a mom so they just get a little jealous. But they're taking it out on Ana and we all know how she gets."

"I will talk to them when we get home." Jake said. He didn't look to happy.

I looked over at Ana who was standing on a swing. "Ana!! Don't stand on the swing!" She stuck her tongue out and jumped down. "God that girl is a pain in my ass." I put my head in my hands. Then I heard Ana scream. I looked over at her and she was on the ground holding her knee. She started crying and then It started raining. I shook my head and walked over to her. I picked her up putting most her weight on my hip not like it mattered she was only about 40 pounds. I walked back over to the table and sat her on my lap.

"She you're okay its just a scratch. Deep breaths." I rubbed her back. The rain stopped and so did her crying. Nobody seemed phased everyone kept doing what they were doing. I guess everyone was so used to it.

"Okay." She wiggled. "Mommy can I go back and play now."

"Ana I think we should just go home." She shook her head in protest. Alex came over to us with a plate of burgers.

"Ana if you eat all these you can go play." Alex said placing the plate in front of her.

"Daddy! I can't eat all those." She giggled. Alex scooped her into his arms.

"Then eat one and you can play." He tickled her neck and she giggled uncontrollably.

"Okay!" she nods in agreement and he puts her back in my lap.

"Alex are you ready to go?" I said walking up to him with a fast asleep Ana in my arms.

"Yeah. Let me take her." He carefully takes her out of my arms. I open the car door and Alex put her into her booster seat. I smile at him. He is such an amazing dad. I get into the passenger side. He shuts Ana's door and comes around to the drivers side and we head home.

"Ana's in bed." Alex said climbing into bed next to me. I smile.

"You know we have some alone time now." I said bringing my arms around his neck.

"Yes we do." He kissed my neck up and down.

I was making breakfast in the kitchen when Ana stumbled in half asleep. She had her teddy bear in one hand and she was rubbing her eyes with the other. She looked around and then looked ar me. "Where's daddy?" she said sitting in a chair at the table.

"He left earlier." I said continuing to cook.

"He's never home anymore." She said placing her head on the table.

"I know. Do you want pancakes?" She nodded excitedly.

"And bacon!" She added.

"Well it wouldn't be breakfast with out it." I placed the plate infront of her and her eye's widened. "Ana. Eat your breakfast and then we can go shopping." She nodded.

That laddies and gentlemen is my perfect daughter.
