POV Hazel
I sat outside the dressing room waiting for Ana to come out with her dress. She told me she didn't need my help so I let her go into the changing room alone. "Come on Ana. Daddy is going to wonder where we are." She peeked her head out with the dress in her hand. She shook her head and put it down.
"I dont like it." I nodded and we left the store. I held her hand as we walked around the mall for a few minutes. A smell I haven't smelt in a very long time flared through my nostrils. I lifted Ana up into my arms and spun around. There stood Scott with a smug look on his face. I slowly started backing away. I held Ana close to me as I turned and ran for it.
There wasn't much he could do. We were in a public place with humans. I decided that I couldn't leave. I went into the food court and sat in the middle table with Ana on my lap. I pulled out my cell phone and called Alex.
"Hello." He said on the other side.
"Alex. I need you to get to the mall. And fast." I hung up. I didn't want to talk to him. I thought he said Scott was gone. He was dead. He said he killed him. I looked around and saw Scott near the door. He was walking towards us. Then he was right in front of me.
I held Ana tighter but he ripped her from my grip. "Mommy!" She screamed. Scott stared running off with her and I followed. He exited the mall and when I went through the doors they were gone.
I sat up gasping for air. I climbed out of bed and went into Ana's room. I looked around the room until my eyes landed on the empty bed. I walked over and sat on it. I clutched her pillow against my body. I let the tears slip through my eyes. "Mommy." Ana climbed up next to me. I hugged her against my body. "Mommy are you having nightmares."
I nodded and kissed her head. "You can sleep with me. I keep them away." I smiled and brought the blankets over us.
"I love you." I whispered.
"I know mommy. I love you too."
Alex shook me awake the next morning. I looked over at him and Ana. They had a tray of food and flowers. "Happy mothers day!" Ana screamed.
"Ana its early voice down." I whispered.
"Sorry." She whispered. "Happy mothers day!" She whisper yelled which made me laugh.
