I walked out onto the back porch. I took out a cigarette and lit it. I sat on one of the lawn chairs. Dawn walked out. "I heard you and Jc talking" I said quietly. I went to place the cigarette between my lips but Dawn took it and put it between hers. She inhaled and handed it back to me, Letting the smoke escape her lips. She looked down at the ground. "I should've told you" Is all she said. I've always really loved her accent. "And I feel like I'm really nothing to him and I'm some enjoyment to him because he couldn't get Emma" She added, Looking up at me. I slowly nodded. "This was supposed to be an amazing birthday" She whispered. "And I'm going to make it that" I said. I stood up, Pulling a cancer stick out and dropping it onto the lawn chair next to her alone with my lighter. "In case you need it" I said.

"In case you need it" He said and walked away. "I'm so bad to everyone" He mumbled to himself, Going inside. I chuckled and slipped them into my pocket. I took a breath and walked inside. When I was going up the stairs, The front door opened. "Hey!" I turned around and saw Emma. "Hey?" I said confused. She gestured me to come down. I walked back down and stood in front of her. She wrapped me in a hug. I hesitated go hug her back. "Happy birthday!" She smiled. "Thanks?" I didn't know what to say. "Jc talks a lot about you." she said and walked upstairs. I furrowed my eyebrows.

The front door opened again and in came Ricky. "Hey! Happy birthday!" He said, Giving me a hug. "Thank you" I said, hugging him back.

Adam: Hey. Just wanted to say happy birthday. Is it okay if I bring over a gift?

Me: Oh god please come over. I know I ditched on you but I just need someone that I don't ever see

Adam: alright, Be there soon

I walked into the kitchen and sat on the counter. The door opened and Adam came around the corner. "Hey" He smiled. I smiled at him as he walked over. He gave me a small hug. "Well. I didn't know what to really get you. So I just got you this really expensive camera since you said you like to sing. Maybe start a YouTube channel? I mean it could boost a career" He said, Handing me a box. "Oh my gosh Adam, Thank you so much" I smiled, Giving him a tight hug. "What the fuck is he doing here?" I pulled away from Adam and looked at Jc. "Why the fuck do you care?" I said. Jc walked over and pulled me outside onto the back porch. "Why do you care?" I asked.

"Because" Is all he said. "It's not like you really care anyways Jc. I was just a little enjoyment for you because you didn't have Emma." I mumbled. "Really? That's what you think?" He yelled at me. "Yes I do Jc!" I screamed at him. Kian walked outside and made Jc go in. "This is the worst birthday ever" I mumbled, Putting my face into his chest. "Besides the gifts" I added. He chuckled. I was about to say something but yelling came from inside.

Ricky was holding Jc back and Emma was trying to calm him down. Adam just stood there, All his weight on his right foot. I walked over to Adam and Kian went to talk to Jc. "What happened?" I asked, Pulling Adam out on the front porch. "He walked inside and just started yelling at me" He said, Clearly annoyed. "Alright. Well you can leave it doesn't matter. Thank you for the gift" I smiled. "Alright. Happy birthday" He said and kissed my head before leaving. Guy friends are better because there's less drama. Wrong. It's the same amount.

"Alright. Jc, Stop causing fights. Kian. Just. Uh, stop being I don't know. Emma, Thanks I guess. Ricky thanks too. And there will be no more drama" I said. "Do they know you're moving out?" Kian mumbled in my ear. I shook my head no, I grabbed the camera box off the counter and walked upstairs. I went into my room and saw a teddy bear. A giant one with a sign laying on it. "From Ricky" it read "Thank you Ricky!" I yelled. "You're welcome!" He yelled. I threw the sign in my closet and looked on my desk. "Heard you like music!" I put the card down, I saw a few guitar picks, a few albums and a Capo. It's that clip you put on the neck of the guitar to make the tune a little high pitched. When I walked towards my door Emma walked in. "Thank you so much" I smiled and hugged her. "You're super welcome!" She beamed.

After everyone left, I put my guitar by my desk, Leaving Emma's gifts on the top right corner of the desk. I set the tapestry Kian gave me on my desk and left the teddy bear on my bed. I set the Camera in the middle of the desk. Kian walked into my room. "I think you should work at the music store" He said and smiled. "I went for a drive and I saw a music store around the corner and it's looking for openings. Please do a application!" Kian begged. "Tomorrow I will. I promise" I said and wrapped my arms around his torso.

I changed into a large black sweater that said 'eat a lot sleep a lot' and stayed in my underwear which were black. I climbed into bed and pushed the bear into my wall, Giving myself room and covered myself in my white blankets. I couldn't sleep, I kept thinking about what Matthew and I would do on my birthday every year.
